Just like any other scale, u dont "set it" for a certain weight. you just know that an eighth is like 3.54 g and u just go by that. whatever u want to tare out of the weight just set it on the scale then press the "T" button so it zeros itself out so ur only weighing whats inside the baggy ;) Its so sensitive plus the numbers are so bright and easy to read! i put a ziplock on and it weighs 1.2g. A regular sandwich bags weigh .4g. It uses 2 AAA batt and not those button batts. Cant beat the price either.

Answer:	No. It’s a simple tool. But if you want to measure the content of a bucket... weight the bucket and zero out while weighing it and then put the contents in. You would also have to average out after multiple measurements to be sure but accurate enough to measure any weight.

Answer:	7.1oz is equivalent to .44 of a lb. 16 ounces in a pound. so 7/1oz is 0.44. I haven't checked mine but I see on mine an "oz" on the top right - next to where you might find your "44" ... which signifies you are weighing at ounces vs grams, not necessarily that you have 44oz. Look more closely because you may actually have an accurate scale. Hope this helps and not too late of an answer.

Answer:	According to the manual, the M10 will read in tenths of a ounce, or two gram increments. However, the margin of error is +/- 0.2 oz for weights up to 5 pounds, and +/- 0.4 oz for weights between 5 and 10 pounds.
Question:	how do you calibrate the scale to zero? mine is calibrated at 4kg so it's very off
Answer:	We found that the scale is not practical for first class packages. Despite their specs, the scale will not provide an accurate weight for small parcels. Dymo tech support had no solutions for us. It's great for large packages, but useless for small ones. We had to buy new scales to get our work done.
