Answer:	The instructions say to dilute 1 ounce per gallon of mix, and I apply this with a small pump tank sprayer (pretty cheap here on Amazon). I use this on my carpet before I shampoo it, and it really boosts the dirt extraction power. Just don't put it on too far in advance of the shampoo job, as you don't want it to dry in your carpet before it is shampooed out.

Answer:	No, it is recommended for all types of carpet including wool, and 5th Generation Stain resistant carpet. I use it to clean interior aircraft carpet, and it is completely safe for them.
