Answer:	I put a finger on one side and pull out with the other. It helps get the blade loose. They are easier to replace after a few times.

Answer:	Yes. Depending on what cup or blade you use. I've done russets and red potatoes, carrots, but Onions are a a bit messy due to their layers. Cut a sweet potato and if it cuts fairly easy, you will have no problem. If it is too hard, boil them a little to soften them up some. Never cut a yam with it though.

Answer:	It's not hard to turn at all. It's just a nuisance to get the huge thing out and clean it afterwards. If you put the cones -or any part of it, in the dishwasher, it will rust. And, while it does not take much effort to turn, it's heavy. Maybe not for some one young or strong, but definitely heavy for older or smaller folks.

Answer:	Cut the cabbage so it's not over the fill line. Make sure the lid lock is in place. Are the shaft and blade engaged? I don't know what blade you are using, but they have different shafts, so make sure you have the right one.I had three of these processors in a row, each one had a different issue and KitchenAid kept replacing them. I finally gave up and bought a Cuisinart 12 cup and am much happier. In spite of the ratings being so high, I think the quality control of the Chinese factory where these are made is very poor and KitchenAid knows it. If the machine is defective, they will stand behind it. They are planning to bring manufacture of all their products back to the US. That's when I'll start buying them again. Meanwhile, the stand mixer is still American made and a great product!
