Question:	What is the difference between this and the other one that costs 33.99? I know the other has a larger collector box. But what about the # of blades
Answer:	Yes it can, there is a coarse shredder and a grater blade. Then on the unit there are 2 knobs one for setting the slicing thickness and one that you raise when you shred or grate. Always use the food guard those blades are VERY sharp.
Question:	does it come with a storage unit? It doesn't show a picture, just says stores easily
Answer:	I use the Vidalia Chop Wizard to make cubes (either 1cm or half that, tiny little things). You simply slice the vegetable across in the thickness you want and then pass it through the chop wizard to create cubes. Question:	How many cups does the container hold
Answer:	Always take it out from the bottom. Safest. Easiest. Grab the mandolin with both hands. The top side should be facing you, and your thumbs will be on that top side with your fingers hidden underneath, clasping the unit. One hand should be where the hinges are...and the other on the opposite side (the side typically touching the countertop when open and ready for use). Now, just hold the mandolin with your thumb on top, (far from the blade) and apply simple consistent force with your fingers from underneath. Sometimes, one side dislodges first. If this happens, just apply equal pressure to the opposite side. Now the blade is free. Rotate it up from the two plastic tabs which serve as hinges. They are located on the blade side. Now, gently tug or pull when the insert (with the blade), and the main body form an angle greater than 45 degrees. At this point the insert/ blade should be completely free. Respect the blade. It is sharp. Treat it the same way that you would any sharp knife.
Question:	The cheese grater looks too small to be effective. Any comments or experiences
Answer:	Mine slices things like beets and carrots super-thin, a sixteenth of an inch or so. I use the slices to make chips in the oven, and the thinnest setting is actually too thin for me. I have to go up one or two settings from the thinnest.

Answer:	If it's the one i'm thinking about, it looks very similar but has a little different blade selection and a glass container.
Question:	Is this wide enough to slice jicama for wraps
Answer:	A storage unit? No. What you see is what you get. The individual slicers with the blades have a plastic container but it has no lid.
Question:	Is the slicer thickness size adjustable
Answer:	You know, that is a good question. I just measured the container with water and it holds about 6 1/2 cups, up to almost overflowing. Not sure how that equates to dry measurements, however, that should give you an idea. I have cut up onions, carrots and green pepper together in the container and still had plenty of room for double the amount. Good luck. Hope this helps. P.S. I love this mandoline. Be sure to purchase extra protective gloves like the one that comes with the mandoline. I need more than one as I am usually cutting up other items for my recipe, such as meats (not with the mandoline!). The protective gloves must air dry so I have purchased several pairs. A MUST for people like me who seem to cut myself just looking at a knife!
Question:	Is the blade wide/durable enough to be used to slice butternut squash
Answer:	It may look small, but this particular mandolin is the closest to a professional mandolin we have ever purchased. The cutting blades are SHARP. You can go across it very quick the way it is set up but we have found that it grates cheese as effectively as a handheld cheese grater. You will not be disappointed with the purchase of this mandolin. We were extremely satisfied with this purchase!!!

Question:	How can I get directions and/or an assembly video??? My blades are jammed because I didn't know there was a blade guard and i used the selection dial
Answer:	Mine did not come with the sensor, but it was priced much lower so that was ok.

Question:	Can this cut potato to french fries size ? Or can recommend one that does all
Answer:	Correct, the ports are 2" threaded and the couplers are 2 1/2", if you have this system installed already and are just replacing the cell, it fits....and takes a total of about 2 minutes to do it.....
Question:	Do the gloves really work? There's a review that says it was very sharp and she had to return it because it wasn't safe
Answer:	I dont know if there was a warranty but company rep advised that the product was new...many times a supplier just needs the parts but not the salt cell. So the supplier can sell the cell for less money. My salt cell has worked perfectly since i purchased and for much lower price.

Answer:	The difference between these two sizes is that the hand guard in size2 is 3cm bigger than size 1.As we are honest seller, so we don't want to cheat our customers in details.

Question:	does it come with the plunger
Answer:	I don’t know if it’s right or not, but mine too is loose and moves around a bit. However, in my opinion it’s helpful when cleaning the mandoline, because pieces of vegetables or fruit inevitably become stuck around that area. The movement of the clear part makes it easier to clean.
Question:	I have a hand-crank drum slicer. How does the Dash mandoline compare to drum slicers
Answer:	it has 3 settings. The first setting is paper thin, about 1/16. Second setting is 1/8 inch thick and the third setting is about 3/16 inch thick.
Question:	How do you clean it? need a video on that.. thats when i cut myself
Answer:	Yes. It is awesome! Use the #2 or #3 setting. When you get close to the end USE THE HOLDER!!! This is a razor blade. People who report slicing fingers were foolish. When I was done slicing a potato I had two dime size nubs left. One from the start and one from the end. If you want longer chips slice on the bias/45° angle. Be careful and USE THE HOLDER!!!
Question:	What is the difference between dash safe slice mandolin and the zacharian one
Answer:	I tried a zucchini. Since the hand guard is only half the length of the zucchini, only the part of the zucchini that is under the hand guard gets cut. I just turned the zucchini around every few slices to even it out and do the other half, but I didn't get any slices as long as the zucchini. It slices so thin, though, that the zucchini is delicious. I hand jullienned the slices for "pasta".
