| Answer: | I use the little brush/stick thing that came with it. If you wash it right after use and use the brush/stick to avoid getting your fingers near the blade, you should be fine. In addition to the little brush, I use a soaped-up sponge and hot, running water rather than putting it in a dishpan. |

With no julienne blade inserted it just slices. There is also an adjustment for thickness of the slice. The cutting blade is permanently built in and not removable. It is easy to clean and compact for easy storing. It is Japanese made, the blade is extremely sharp, and I find it is simple and functional and is my most used kitchen tool. You will likely not use your Oxo again. This one will last forever. |
