While the slicer does clean out the skin, I found the "slices" to be not pretty enough to use for garnish or presentation. They were kinda mushy (which worked fine for the guac). Still, I have happily purchased the tool for friends who have been as thrilled with it as I am. |

And while I can't believe anyone would actually pay for an item such as this: no, I can tell you that it will not work for a mango. I use a fillet knife; I remove one large section from each side of the seed. I take the skin off of the seed using the knife in standard fashion. Then I cut each "half" into 3-4 lengths and, once again, fillet the skin off. I got a good fillet knife here. I was about $15.00. I consider it to be a much better deal.
