Answer:	i feel that it would work, i don’t think the holes are big enough to allow the quinoa to fall through. it’s a great collander!

Answer:	If I understand "outer diameter screen" to mean the inside diameter looking from the top, I get 9.5 inches. This would leave an additional 1/2 inch on each side that would not fit in the bowl. If this answer doesn't work please give more criteria.

Answer:	I don't use wheat bran so I have no idea how dense it is. I can tell you that rice does not fall thru the holes, so if wheat bran is anywhere near the size of cooked rice, then I'd say no, it would not sift thru.

The holes are round at the bottom of the colander but stretch a little to an oblong shape as they go up the sides.Next I'll pour in some dry uncooked rice. I have Minute Instant Whole Grain Brown Rice (Cooks in 10 Minutes) in the pantry. That'll have to do. I pour 1/4 cup of dry uncooked rice into the colander. I stir it and shake it around a bit. About 15 - 20% of it falls through.Now for the cooked rice. I follow the instructions on the side of the box.1 Cup Rice1 Cup WaterBoil for 5 minutes - Simmer for 5 minutesAt the end of the cooking time, I pour the rice into the colander and repeat the stirring and the shaking - no rice falls through. Answer:	Yes you could but I do the pot in pot when I make the rice and it was difficult for me to take the wet rice from this and put it in a bowl ...I spilled a lot... I use smaller strainer.. but if you're going to cook directly in your pot I see no reason why you can use this to rinse your rice

Answer:	I was curious for my own self since I own both items, and the handles prevent this from fitting inside the Instant Pot. If you were able to bend the handles on the strainer upward, then it would fit perfectly. I'm not sure of the integrity of the welds of where the handles are attached though. But your idea is genius nonetheless!UPDATE: if you use pliers to grab the welded area and then use another set of pliers to bend the handles upward, they will bend. I tried bending tgebhandles just with my hands, and the welded spot did break if I didn't use pliers. I think I might snap off the handles anyway because I like your idea haha
