Answer:	This is the finest mesh product we carry, and it is likely to be a good fit for what you need it for. However, we have not used it specifically for that purpose, and therefore can't guarantee any results.

Answer:	I use it to strain eggs for custard, it would work for the soups too or any fine type of pureed food, but I don't think it would be the best for hard coarse type of food since you'll end up with the clear juice, I would go for apple sauce or any bigger particles of food with a fine mesh or Chinois
Question:	Is the edge sealed well? I always have the problem of my quinoa or other small grain getting stuck in the edges

Question:	Does anyone have rust showing up yet
Answer:	I'm not sure where this is made. It's a nice big colander and I like it fine. I will say that it has feet that are fused to the bottom and mine has had the feet coming off. I'm not sure how they were attached (glued or fused with heat) but mine are coming off. I put the colander back on top the spaghetti pot to keep it hot and moist but the heat from the boiling water may have been too hot???

Answer:	The material it is made of seems to be from Jupiter or one of its moons. It is not like any substance on Earth. It is strong yet light. It feels like the handles are made of skin from the areolas and scrotums of baby pandas.

Answer:	Hi Adam. I tried contacting KitchenAid by using the Live Chat feature but the representative said that you would need to call the Customer Service department at 866-457-9340 from 9 am to 5 pm EST. Unfortunately, my colander did not have any type of marking on it to let me know if it is BPA free or not. I do like the colander, though. I have had it over a year and it is very sturdy and stays in place well on my counter. I like that it is larger than most other colanders and it is not made of a wire-type material that would rust. I am sorry I could not be of more help to you, but I would definitely call that number if I were you and ask them.

Answer:	I do not know. All I do know is that it is a great design and seems very sturdy, but after a few light uses for draining pasta it began to crack along the perforations. After one year of light use it is pretty much unusable as there are splits and cracks along every perforation line now and is useless and falling apart and will have to be thrown away after 1 year of light use. If I had noticed the cracks sooner I would have been able to return it; I would not recommend this item unfortunately and would not purchase again. I have already purchased an enamel coated stainless colander to replace this one.

Answer:	I do not recommend to use this on the rice, the rice is too small and will go through the strainer. But you can use it on other foods, this works well for pasta vegetables, etc.
Question:	Do these have one layer of mesh or two layers
Answer:	On all size pots, you use it the same way. You clip it to the edge of the pot, making sure that the solid area between the clips hugs the inside of the pot. You then tilt the pot and the strainer area lets the liquid flows out while holding the solids inside the pot. On small and medium size pots the strainer area bends and forms a cup shape in the center and holds the solids back. You can use it on large pots but the bigger the pot, the slower you have to drain the liquids.

Answer:	It didn’t melt when I used it to filter hot oil. According to the product introduction, the silicone food strainer is made of heat resistant Silicone. Can stand the temperatures: -40℃~230℃. Answer:	Handles appear to be attached w/some sort of substantial fasteners that may be welded in place, sorry that I’m not knowledgeable enough to know for sure. All 3 strainers are very sturdy, have used weighty foods in them with no problems whatsoever. Wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again!

Answer:	You would need to have an additional line (2 lines), otherwise the two bases would each be trying to answer the same calls.
