They might figure that after 3 busted wires, it's time for the customer to buy a new slicer. Or you might be able to ask them about replacement wires in an email. Mine is still on the first wire after about 6 months, but I'll admit that I don't use it very often, and never on hard cheese.

Answer:	I don't see a question here but if you're asking if screws anchor the wire, what really anchors the wire it is the little square cubes pressed onto each end. The screws just hold the cubes in place in a square hole, if that makes any sense. I have had the ones that a screw twists the wire tight on one end and they just didn't last very long. I've had mine for a while and the fact that they include 2 replacements wires, I expect this one will last a long time with its top performance.

I will say that you do have to apply a little pressure and make sure that you can control it enough to not cut the hand that is holding the cheese still. Depending on the cheese, you have to apply a little more pressure to get the slicing started. I hope that helps a little bit.
