Answer:	I've had mine for five months and it's already starting to rust...

The EZBASICS wine saver pumps oxygen out of an opened wine bottle and reseals it with a wine stopper. The sealing condition will slow down deterioration of wine, which will preserve the wine for up to 7 days. For a half-full wine bottle, it should take about 15-20 seconds of steady pumping to achieve a vacuum seal. When you want to taste the wine again, simply pull the center of the stopper to break the seal and remove it.

Setting the date indicator

• Use the symbol to indicate the date you last opened the bottle.
• Gently swivel the metal ring to left or right until the symbol is above the correct date.

To Keep your wine fresh

• Insert the stopper plug into the neck of the wine bottle until it is firmly seated.
• Connect the wine pump with the wine stopper. One hand firmly grip the top of the bottle and base of the pump to hold them in place.
• Continue holding the bottle while moving the handle up and down until you feel resistance.

Removing the wine stopper

• Press the pin located in the center of the wine stopper towards the edge of the stopper to release the vacuum seal.
• Continue to hold the bottle securely while easing the stopper upwards and out of the bottle.

• Repour is designed around a standard 750ML bottle of wine under the assumption of 5 5-ounce pours and around its ability to absorb the oxygen from 1500ML of air.
• Material inside the stopper continuously removes all of the oxygen from the air above the wine and from the wine itself, completely stopping the degradation process.

Question:	Does this work well with Champagne or Sparkling Wine
Answer:	Do you have their cork all the way in? The more wine left in the bottle the less time it should take to hear the clicking sound. If your bottle is almost empty it might take a little longer, but never 5 minutes. If you try it again and still have this problem I would suggest sending it back. Perhaps this one is defective? Hope this helps!

Question:	Can you store a bottle of wine on it's side for several days without the bottle leaking wine with the vacuum cork in place
Answer:	You put in the rubber cork you put the pump on top... you pump up and down until it's almost impossible to do it anymore and wallah the air is taken out. When you go to open up the wine there's a little plastic piece in the center you tilt it to the side that releases it for you to pour wine and reseal the bottle and pump.

Answer:	This device will keep your wine for approximately 10 days. I use and like it. The only other way to preserve wine for long periods once opened is to add argon or nitrogen into the opened bottle then seal it good. The gas prevents oxygen from spoiling the wine.

Answer:	I'm not sure if the Vacu Vin 088630 Wine Stopper 6 Pack will prevent spillage. There are rubber gaskets like the ones used on canning jars and many sorts of liquid containers to prevent either air or liquid from entering or exiting a container sold in many stores.

Answer:	I’m not sure, I have not tried it. I suspect that they are exclusive to the Vacu Vin brand.

Answer:	I just stored a bottle on its side for 48 hours and it did not leak. It was 3/4 full. I often store upright, so I am not sure about storing sideways for a longer period.
Question:	Am I the only one that got this with rubber seals that stink to high heaven & deeply penetrated the wine ruining a half-bottle of wine
Answer:	Yes, they will. I just ordered some and they work great. You have to pump a few more times than with the Oxo plugs, but it will create a tight seal. I tested it with a 750ml bottle of wine that was 3/4 full by turning it upside down and there were no leaks. I laid it on its side for a bit and there were no leaks either.

Question:	Can you lay the wine down without it leaking
Answer:	Tastet, this is a difficult question because both products are top notch. I enjoy both, however, I would give a slight nod in favor of the Vintorio Wine Aerator. I like that is has an air chamber and a longer stem that inserts into the bottle of wine. I think that the Vintorio opens up the bouquet slightly better with certain reds, but it is close. Hope this helps. I can also say with different product that I bought from Vintorio, the degree of professionalism and response was exemplary. There few firms that have impressed me so much. BTW, try Vintorio's Wine Chiller.

Answer:	I would say no, it doesn't seal the wine as a cork or stopper would. But works well as aerator when time to serve.

Answer:	On the very top of the stopper, there’s a little peg. When you’re ready to open your wine again, you just push that peg to the side. You’ll hear air getting sucked in; then it’s very easy to pull out of the bottle.

Answer:	I have had no problems at all with the float. It did not add any off-tasting flavors to the wine. The rubber ring comes off for cleaning (which you should do before using it with a new bottle of wine. The whole product works as expected. Love it!

Answer:	Yes, the carafe is glass. The interior "float" is plastic of unknown origin. The "rubber" seal for the float the the seal used for the lid is of some completely horrid and "hold-your-nose" material that should be as far from wine as possible.

Question:	Can this be used on Prosecco or Champagne
Answer:	This version has the 5 pieces shown, four stoppers and the pump. Worked well for me because I just wanted to put it in a drawer. I think the "Concerto" version is great because it clicks when the pressure is about right. The number of pumps is very different depending if you're working with an almost full versus almost empty bottle.

Answer:	I'm not sure if I understand the question, but it's made of hard plastic. The top part is a plunger that slides up and down inside the outer casing. Everything is hard plastic. (Update after seeing other answers: I'm not sure where it was made since I sent it back.)

Answer:	IF is is properly sealed and refrigerated--a week or two. It depends on how often one opens it. All wine will deteriorate each opening as air changes food? with normal cork, it usually last a few days before wine changes loses flavor?
