I have a bucket that I have been using because it's easier to carry everything around but I had concern about all of my shears, clippers, and pruners "clanging against each other" and becoming dull. I don't use a tape measure because my main gardening is small hand raking, pruners and clippers with a knife for cutting bagged mulch or sand. This works perfectly for me.

Answer:	Yes depending on the size, mostly width, not length. I use the Markings small journal books (Walgreens), put my wine key, crumber and several pens it it and it’s perfect. I love it!
