However, I would gather $10 or so and get a hydrometer to measure specific gravity before and after fermentation to verify alcohol content and if fermentation is complete. You don't have to because this kit includes "Hopped Extract" which means that you don't need to add any Hops to your brew, they did it for you. It is completely ready to go and the results should be the same every time you make a batch. They take all the science out of the process by pre-hopping the extract. Last note: My friends love the Aztec and Bohemian extracts that came with my kit. I have now moved onto All-Grain brewing with the occasional non-hopped extract brew.Good book to read is "How to brew" by Palmer. Hope that helps! |

| Answer: | I have owned this case since 2004. No oil spots on the concrete floor of my shop in 13 years, but you MUST give your saw some help. Lay some cardboard on the bottom of the case before storing the saw. Fold up an old towel, t-shirt, or some rags and place on top of the cardboard to soak up any residual oil. That will go a long way toward keeping the bottom of the case from becoming a sticky mess. Do the same if you don't have a case. Not only will the floor thank you, so will the bottom of your shoes and any foot prints behind you. Just from the nature of how chainsaw bar and chain oil pumps work there will always be some residual oil that leaks out the bottom of your saw after use. To mitigate the oil leakage always loosen the cap on the oil tank after use, and LEAVE it loose. If the oil tank cap is left tight, in cold weather especially, the air in the oil tank will expand when it warms up, or the saw is stored in a heated area. Venting the oil tank by loosening the cap prevents expansion pressure from forcing oil out of the tank, and draining to the bottom of the saw. A lose oil tank cap won't be an issue. Next time you refuel the saw you will also refill the bar and chain oil tank. Tighten the oil tank cap then. Before storage always remember to drain the fuel tank, start the saw, and run any residual fuel out of the carburetor. That goes DOUBLE if the only available fuel is an ethanol blend product. |
