Answer:	My wife makes kambucha and we found that some of the seals were not pulled tight enough to the bottle mouth. I solved the problem by putting a slight bend in the 2 metal arms attached to the stopper (used needle nose pliers), thus shortening their length and effectively creating a tighter seal able to Keep the gas in the bottle.

Answer:	They are easy for me to open. Depending on the pressure gradient, they may be a little more difficult to open if you have very high pressure built up in your drink, but I've never had trouble opening these bottles, even when under high pressure. I've also have yet to have one explode on me, like traditional capped bottles, which burst every once in a while if the fermentation gets away from me.
Question:	Can these be used for carbonating/conditioning Hard apple cider
Answer:	I used these for carbonating/conditioning winter warmer beer. After 1 month they were perfectly carbonated. No loss from the seal. As long as the pressure in no larger than beer should be ok.

Answer:	Yes they are dish washer safe. I used my bottles for making home made root beer and worked great.

Answer:	Never tried it but I don't think you can. And why would you want to? The swing caps work fine for both the initial cap and recapping.
Question:	can these bottles handle high heat as in pasteurization
Answer:	Yes! I use a different seal (solid not donut) and give them a water bath at 180°f for 10 minutes up to the seals. Don't have the stove on just bring water to the desired temp and preheat your bottles in hat water (125°) so they aren't shocked by the really hot water.
Question:	Are these strong enough for secondary (back) fermentation
Answer:	I would think so, I haven’t had any issues. When I brew I keep them in a dark closet to ferment.

Question:	is the side of the bottle completely flat? i am looking to put labels on the bottles & it won't work if the sides on convexed
Answer:	No. The bottles are round all the way around like a beer bottle. You could still stick a label to it though.
Question:	do I use soap to wash
Answer:	I washed with dish soap and rinsed them, then I boiled some water on the stove in my tea kettle and filled each bottle for a final rinse, just be careful of the hot water.
Question:	Is the glass lead free

Question:	Do these bottles, with flip tops, release pressure if pressure is too high? First time Ginger Beer brewer
Answer:	One of the main reasons for using grolsch style bottles, especially as a beginner, is that the tops will pop off before the pressure builds to a point that the bottles will explode. So yes, the tops will pop if the pressure gets too high.
