Again, if you read the description, it is memory foam with pillow fluffy on the upper part of the mattress and (because its considered a hybrid) it has multiple springs on the lower half. The "new foam" smell never went away and we tried EVERYTHING! Fabreeze, scented candles, opening all the windows and the door to the deck for a day (despite the outside temp was only 36 degrees) and nothing seemed to help. So, in the end we opted to buy a different mattress. Our friends ordered the Ashley Chime and they LOVE it!! But we did some extra research and decided the best thing for us to do was to go to actual stores and try them. We finally opted to buy a "Nectar Classic". We needed the extra firmness and not so much of the sinking feeling. I am in my 60's and healthy but I had a problem getting out of the OYT...and if I'd needed to do it quickly, suffice it to say I wouldn't have made it out of the bed in time.
