Answer:	No, it is not thick, but is very flavorful and a little goes a long way. Good substitute if you're used to vanilla butter nut flavoring.

Answer:	I've used them both and can't say that they are exactly the same, but I liked them both. Really delicious in pancakes and French toast. That McCormick Cake Batter flavor is good too. Only problem is that I use these flavorings up way too fast. Good luck.

Answer:	I've had some of my Happy Home flavorings in my pantry for 10 yrs - maybe longer and they're still good. Vanilla & Butter Nut (favs) are my go-tos & sometimes I use them together. I love how the butter nut enhances the vanilla giving many things that I bake (cookies, cakes, muffins) more impact when hitting the tongue. :) Hope this answers your question & helps you decide.
