Answer:	No, mine has circular ridges. It does not work that well on my new smooth top range. It doesn't fit exactly on any of the burners. It doesn't whistle like it did on the coil burners. I'm trying to find something better.

Answer:	I can only say for sure that it is "high grade stainless steel" but I can't say 18/10 for sure; but I can say for sure this is heavy duty and solidly built. Looks to me like 18/10 but all I could find before I bought it was high grade Stainless Steel. It does come with a tag and the directions tell you how to clean it if rust or mineral deposits form. I've not had a problem on a well with filtered water. Hope that helps.

No problem using 2 quarts of water in this kettle if you need larger amounts of boiling water for a recipe. Note: until the water level reaches about 1 qt. in the kettle there will be a "splash back" when pouring water. Be careful of this.Pour water then tip kettle upright slowly when done pouring to avoid larger splash backs and possible burns.

Cast Iron Tea Kettle

• The Small, Medium and Large cast iron tea kettle is available, choose a suitable capacity. Small: 22 oz, Medium: 30 oz, Large: 40 oz.

• Avoid storing the kettle in a dark, humid environment for a long time to Avoid Rust.

HOW TO USE ME PROPERLY?

• Before first use, put 5-10 grams of tea into the cast iron teapot and brewing for about 10 minutes, pouring away the water after it is done boiling. Repeat the produce for 2-3 times until the water is clear.

• Recommend not pour over 70% of capacity water into the teapot, avoid cleaning the teapot with detergent, brush, or cleaning implement.

• Dishwashing detergent is not recommended, simply clean it with water is enough.

• Dry after each use to Avoid Rust. Take the lid off while drying, and the remaining water will be evaporated slowly. A tannin film will cover the interior, which is the reaction of tannin from tea leaves and Fe2+ from the iron teapot, and it will help remove the odor and protect the teapot from rusting.
