Answer:	No. I would have no idea why, with all the pins, you would need that but I am a novice. With this sight I went from 15" groups to 4" groups at 130' immediately. I am happy with that for the little I practice.

Answer:	I looked on the spigot for the grade of stainless steel but was unable to find anything. It does have silicon to keep the seal from leaking. I make sun tea approximately every other week and have not had one issue with the jar. It is a little heavy because it is made out of glass. But it is very well made.
