Wide Cap or Wide Mouth, typically means you can spoon ingredients into the bottle or pour something into the bottle easier than a narrower opening. In this case the opening is approximately 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm) wide. Hope this helps

Answer:	I bought two of them and there is no sensible smell from either one. If a plastic smells, it may not be "safe" to use. Do you smell with the water in the bottle or the smell comes from the empty bottle. If from the empty bottle, I suspect the bottle is not good. I only rinsed, but with a few drops of hydrogen peroxide, then forcefully shook with lid tightly on. Rinsed a couple times like this. Don't notice any smell.

New Star 26238 squeeze bottles are 2 9/16" in diameter (almost 2 5/8"),7 3/4" from bottom to the reduction in size for the screw-on top (straight sided), and overall height with top and spout on is 10 3/4". Fill hole with top removed is near 2" diameter for easy filling. I have used three of mine so far, and really enjoy having them. Super nice size to have near the stove and mixer when cooking to hold light oils (vegetable oil and EVOO),as well as many others to store in the fridge. I have had no problems with leakage, or "blowing the tops off", because I just don't squeeze the bottle very hard! The only gripe I have with these is that they do not come with a top for the spout! (but I knew that before purchase)- judicious use of a tapered tooth pick will help here.

Question:	does anyone know where I can get the silicone gaskets for the caps? I hate to spend big bucks on new caps if all I need are a few gaskets to fix mine
Answer:	It's stainless steel so it should - living at the coast you learn there are several grades of SS so I do expect to tarnish. I drilled two holes in bottom to allow rain water etc to easily drain as I put mine beneath an opener outside next to our grill.

Answer:	I am not sure it fits the bottles I bought from Target.

Answer:	You could probably just search on small bottle brush, but I’ve never needed a brush. I’ve just run the kitchen faucet full force down the neck and shake them real good. It does the trick.

Answer:	You can etch a logo on any glass. I don't bottle commercially, so what would be the point in paying money to etch a logo on my homebrews?
