| Answer: | Brita filtered water is not the same as distilled water. Distilled removes all the minerals, but Brita just filters it for taste and smell, removing chlorine by using a charcoal filter. Probably Brita filtered water would still cause the white mineral dust since minerals are still in the water. |

The mfg was kind enough to replace it when I complained - 2nd cooler, the corner of the liner has again cracked off with the 1st use. The hard plastic liner cannot endure any usage & the shoulder strap cannot carry any weight. I give this cooler an "F" & was so excited by many of the features described. This is not worth the money - go for the Yeti or any other cooler would be my advice |
