Answer:	Mine did have the stand included.
Question:	Is this an alto flute
Answer:	not an alto. this flute is in the key of C. it is just small and light for a child's hands. alto flutes are in the key of G. if you use all the same fingering for a concert (C) flute on an Alto, you will produce notes that are a Fifth lower (ex: G instead of C).

Answer:	It is a cushioned hard case and protects the flute very well. It is not the same as a regular hard shell but it does perform quite well as a carry case.
Question:	Where is this flute manufactured
Answer:	California, I believe. The customer service was amazing! We ordered 1 flute and returned it and then ordered another and also returned it. Both flutes had trouble with the pads not adequately covering the holes. As we weren't buying it just for fun we decided to go with a more reputable flute.

Answer:	As of January 2020, this item DOES use "Bovine gelatin", per the NOW product website. I emailed them, and asked for a change... As a vegan, that ingredient doesn't fit my needs.
