Question:	Can you buy the metel wire sepretly
Answer:	The leveler is meant to slice through cake layers that come from directly from a baking pan. A 4.5 inch tall X 10.5 inch wide layer could pass through the leveler and be trimmed by it. The highest (setting 1) the cutting wire is meant to go is 2.5 inches above the counter surface. Therefore thickest even slice expected would be 2.5" (2 1/2 inches). (I supposed there's a bit of leeway to get another 1/2 inch from it, if you wanted to slide the wire above 1, you could get a 3" thick layer.) The lowest wire setting is 0.75 (3/4) inch from the surface. If your layer fits, but is too tall to trim the top on a first pass, you can make your first cut, you'll have no trouble slicing the top off on a second pass. I have a narrow wire cooling rack that I use to lift my layers (baked in 10" diameter round pans) when I pass the cutter through them. Lately I've made a few American Flag cakes requiring 13 thin layers (alternating red and white). I couldn't imagine attempting it without the leveler. I get neat thin layers. Enjoy.

Answer:	The legs/stands of the cake leveller allows you to cut a perfectly even layer. When you set it next to the cake and maintain its position flush on the counter top, with a side-to-side motion you can cut the layer in seconds (It takes me less than 5 seconds for a perfectly cut layer. The adjustable razor also allows you to alter the thickness of the layer. So you can set it at the highest point to level the top of the cake (that slight dome shape to the top) and then change to a lower level to cut the entire cake into layers. I love this product. With a knife, I always ended up with a slightly raised section and it wasnt perfectly flat. No problems with this product.

Answer:	They don't belong to the cake leveler. That just consists of two little plastic do-hickies with slits in them. Pie weights aren't metal because metal transfers too much heat. But I have a guess about what they could be. I think its likely that the product you ordered was packed alongside other boxes with orders that included cake decorating supplies. This item is best used with a cake turntable. Those are like lazy susans and usually made of plastic and have small ball bearings that facilitate the platform spinning on the base. My guess is that someone else got their cake decorating turntable with a crack but no ball bearings. Had you already gotten an answer? If so, what was it? If not, what do you think of that guess?

Answer:	I have asked the seller twice now to send me the ebook, for I purchased this for my wife on Feb 7th. I still have no response. I have gone through spam and junk mail folders and nothing is coming through. I really would appreciate a response.

Answer:	It would work to decorate a sheet cake if you also had a cake board (the [usually] cardboard piece that sits under a cake you might get from a bakery) that the cake could sit on while you used this turntable to move the sheet cake in circles to decorate.

Question:	Can you remove one wire to make it a single cutter
Answer:	I have this cake leveler product but I much prefer one that has a single cutter. I do not care for this one at all. It is too difficult to manage both wires without ripping, tearing, or having your layers uneven. I am a professional baker and have been during college and still with my other career. I've used toothpicks to mark around a cake as a guide and then just use a knife to cut the layers. I've used dental floss (make sure it isn't mint flavored) but didn't like that idea at all it tears delicate cakes. My favorite is the single professional cake levelers/cutters that are adjustable. Even with them you still must be careful about the wire. I find it best to saw gently and slowly because they will bend & at times you must place your hands on the sides of the wire while leveling your cake to keep it even or help it along. The top handle has to used for leverage. They have to be designed this way because the cutter has to be very thin. This is one reason why I prefer a single wire leveler/cutter. I use mine several times a week and have cut all types of cakes, even frozen ones (not recommended all the time but this one cake has to cut while frozen) Save your money with this product and purchase a single one. I like to remove the cut layer, adjust the levele if necessary, and cut/torte another layer. Some people like to keep the whole cake together while torting but I can best judge by removing the layers with a cake board or large cake spatula. I've had my single wire leveler for years. I don't mishandle it but take my time but I'm a perfectionist. Levelers are about 10" so larger cakes need the toothpicks around the sides as a guide & a good knife.
Question:	The extra wire (top) is not tight...How do you tighten it
Answer:	No it's not long enough. I found that if u need a bigger cake cut u can just use dental floss. Wrap it around ur finger where the height you want and slide side to side. Just in case you don't want to spend the money. :)
Question:	Can one of the wires come off
Answer:	I do not own a dishwasher, I would just rinse them in the sink.
Question:	Is it big enough to cut through a 12" x 12" square cake
Answer:	I've looked I've on their site & haven't found them. I've goggled them & didn't find anything. I can't say no for sure but it doesn't look like they're available.
