Answer:	IT is a heavy set. I really like the weight and quality as it looks and feels quality. There are some rust spots from the dish washer, however, the come off easily with Bartenders Friend.

Answer:	If you're willing to drill into your tile, yes, it's mountable in a tile backslash. That's precisely how I mounted mine. I used a masonry-bit, on my drill, at the slowest speed to avoid cracking the tile, and voila... worked like a charm. Undersized bit, so the screw had something to BITE into, once I went to mount.

But as an all around vegetable and fruit knife I am very happy with the Culina and pleased that I got two for considerably less $$ than the Sabatier. They were less that 5 bucks each. Worth it.

Answer:	These are okay for small jobs. I would think it would be hard to do large amounts of tomatoes. I bought them for work.

Answer:	The 1/4 inch Hex shank (or an adapter) is required. Also, the hex shank must have the same shaft depression as the Makita bits or the bit can fall out of the driver during downward drilling operations. I have not seen quarter inch hex shanks on high end bits (carbide, carbon, etc.), but neither have I specifically looked for them. Maybe they are available.
