Answer:	Manufacturer Blu Devil is UK based. Advertised as "vegan" new bone china. Chinese bone china typically contains the ash of animal bones. I am going to speculate, made in Europe. But then due to the cool factor, origin is of no concern to me.

Answer:	Yes you can. I do not recommend microwaving. Microwaving runs the risk of causing the glaze to crack. Commonly known as crazing.
