Answer:	Ive had them so long, I don’t know and doubt it even said since the online description doesn’t say country of origin. They do not touch your food, only the rim of the pan/pot. I like them. If country of origin is important with these, you are probably better off NOT purchasing them.
Question:	Does it make a lot of noise when water boils? I need it to make noise so I know when water low when steaming tamales, which take approx 45 minutes
Answer:	I tried it on several of mine. Thicker glasses and average thickness coffee mugs are good. They don't fall off when you turn the mug upside-down. But most glasses and thin mugs--no; they fall off.
Question:	Does this prevent milk from scorching on the bottom of the pan
Answer:	There is no indication either way, on the box or in their catalog, if they are microwave safe. It is stated that they are safe for temperatures up to 600F/315C, as well as dishwasher safe. Since there is nothing in the literature about being safe in the microwave, I don't think I would trust using them in there. I hope this helps!
Question:	Which side should be up when put into the pot
Answer:	It will stay on a flared Corning coffee pot. But that pot is thin-walled. It will slide if I turn the pot over. The opening is 3/16" at the bottom, 1/4" at the top.

Answer:	I'm using it on non-stick pots and don't see any scratching.

Answer:	It doesn’t make a loud noise. It’s a waste for us coz it makes very low noise which can be heard only if I am standing next to it. Don’t buy if you prefer louder noise.

Answer:	This device works when the fluid / liquid is at the boil temperature. Once the liquid is boiling, this metal disc "vibrates" & tips back & forth rapidly to keep the liquid from boiling over, the pan. Personally, I would not heat milk to a boiling temperature. And if you choose to, this MAY / MIGHT keep the milk from scorching, because the vibrating disc, keeps the liquid moving at the bottom of the pan... However, there is a very high content of sugar in milk (naturally occurring) which can "caramelize" (which is what scorching is) just by momentary contact with the "boiling temperature" of the bottom of the pan. Hope this made sense. Bottom line, you can try it. I've used it with boiling water or broths, and it is great - the liquid does NOT boil over the rim of the pan... that is the main function of this disc... to prevent boil-overs.
