Answer:	I would say that they are in between. They are not nearly as flimsy as a the food grade one that I am thinking about. For my all purpose needs of cleaning and working around the house--they are great. Depending on what I am doing, I can actually use them more than once for some things.

Answer:	I answered this question on 11-15-17 along with pictures. It depends on how thick your coasters are. Mine are 1/4" thick. I can fit all four coasters in it with the forth sitting slightly above the the holder and looks just fine.
