Answer:	Hello! Thanks for your question, it's 10.75 inches LOA with a 5 inch cutting edge, 1.25 of it being serrated,1.5 inches at its widest point and almost a 1/4 inch thick... you wont find a bigger, more rugged knife in any other survival kit!

Answer:	It sure does! I personally tested it opening a can of chicken noodle soup which I then heated by a fire started with the fire starter!

Answer:	The jagged piece once unscrewed is the stricker for the ferro rod. This way it gives all the pieces you need to strike and get a spark and there is a tinder cotton as well so everything you need to start a fire. Hope this helps

Question:	How do you sharpen these knives
Answer:	Hi Martin! Oddly enough, I bought these as a gift, but my husband and I own HWN3'D Sharpening in Billings MT. If you are looking to sharpen these yourself, you'll need to invest in a good Lansky System, or diamond stones, either available at most sporting goods stores. But both of those options take some practice to get the angles and positioning correct (the Lansky will come with detailed instructions) and quite a bit of time. Please do not use one of the automatic sharpeners! In most cases, they are not actually sharpening your blade, which requires the removal of metal material. They are instead just honing your blade, basically realigning all of the metal at the blades edge. Honing is a great thing to do for maintenance, but can easily be done with a stele. It might be more worth your time and money to find a professional sharpener in your area. Check with your local kitchen and/or craft stores to see if they have any good recommendations for you. If there isn't anyone local to you, check with the Henckel website to see if you can ship them in. Good luck!

Answer:	I compared mine to other serrated knives I have and they're about the same. Compared to my old steak knives, yes, they are more aggressive. But these are super sharp and easily cut through even thick sirloins. My old steaks knives were terrible with thick cuts of meat.

Answer:	I have to agree that they cut like irregular hacksaws. The only knives I ever bought that werent capable of normal cutting. I have no idea how they obtained such a high rating. It's like they tear apart meat not cut it and you have to use pressure to even get that result. I waited to long so Im just going to use them for gardening lol.
