Question:	the wood feels too hard and I couldnt start the carving. Any suggestions? thanks
Answer:	I used one on a Squier Tele and a Squier Strat. Its a little wide for the Tele neck so i had to fiel the sides. The string spacing still worked out though. Tone wise, this added a lot more snap to the tele, especially compared to the original plastic nut. It was a bit too much for me and created some harmonics I didn't like. I ended up replacing this and the brass brass saddles, both with TUSQ.

Answer:	They do stay in place. I have only tried the overnights so can't comment on the regular size. They fit in back like underwear and have stayed in place so far.

Forging

In the process of forging carbon steel is really important to get to the critical temperature which helps to refine the grain structure inside the blade and remove any stress from the metal.

Hardening

Next comes the hardening process that will make the blade extremely durable and able to hold a sharp edge.

The blades are placed into a specialized hardening furnace containing the hydrogen and nitrogen protective atmosphere. The blades are heated for a proper time period at a temperature of nearly 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

After exposure to this extreme temperature, the blades are rapidly cooled transforming the steel from a relatively soft state to a hard state with a very fine very strong grain structure.

Tempering

In the third step, blades are placed back into a specialized hardening furnace. This time the back of the blade is facing toward the heat. This will give us our hotter section on the back where we want the blade softer.

When the blades get to blue at the back and wheat at the edge, they are dipped into the oil to lock them in.

After the extreme heat and ultimate cold, the characteristics of each blade are well balanced among strength, hardness, stain resistance, and most of all the ability to hold a sharp edge.

Question:	Does this have something to carry the knives in? It shows a fabric wrap but there is no mention of this in the description
Answer:	I have knives that are sharp enough to save and the gloves work fine. I'm sure you could hurt yourself if you tried but if used as intended I think you'd be protected against all casua mishaps and only have a concern for the freak accident. The glove is not 100% protection 100% of the time. They are not for use around power tools but accidental mishaps with a sharp blade are where they shine.
