Answer:	The diameter is 8" and the height, from bottom to top of the knob is 6". The height from the bottom to the top of the handle, as pictured, is 9".

Answer:	It seems more like aluminum to me. I don't know. It could be stainless steel but it's very light.

It's like with something that wears off over time which means it's in the water when you drink it. I've seen some that say it doesn't whistle. Mine was loud, sometimes. That's the only thing I looked about it until the whistle fell off.
