Answer:	Our folks often use the Door to lift the unit, thus bending and/or loosening the hinges. They just seem unable to stop themselves from doing it. The bottom of the Door is apparently just too nice of a handle for them not to use! You can buy replacement white door gasket and replacement hinges. Easier fixes than getting folks to pay attention to how they are lifting these. Last 2 I purchased here during manufacturing they really screwed up the heads of the stainless screws in the hinges so we have been unable to tighten those hinges. We will replace those screws when we have time to use EZ outs to remove the screws. So a simple job of tightening the hinges is now more complicated due to a manufacturing issue. The first 2 I purchased here were fine.

Both blenders look the same, but each handles food in a different way. This is why you will see complaints from people, attempting to use the Tempest to handle food that needs to be chopped or pureed, without ice. But, in like fashion, the Tournant is going to have trouble with smoothies or any drink requiring ice, even though it is brilliant for making salsas, hummus, nut-butters and the like. If you want a general purpose blender for the home, consider the Hamilton Beach 58850 or the professional line of blenders made by Vitamix or Blendtec.

Answer:	I'm not sure about the sharpness. Mine is still very sharp an if there is a problem you just contact the company it has a lifetime warranty as long as you register it witch I did. Just a note just about any good serrated knife will keep sharp. I have other serrated knives over 20 yrs. old and there still very sharp. Note they are not from Zulay Kitchens. Hope this helps.
