Answer:	The basket has a two inch rod with a ring attached mounted in the middle of the basket to provide a lift point when done steaming. This takes a bit of getting used to and can be a bit awkward. I always use a hot pad and pinch the ring/rod end with thumb and forefinger to lift out basket full of steamed veggies. Have a bowl ready to dump into. Also, most of these baskets are built this way.

Answer:	It would depend on how much water you put in the pot... the basket sits 1" from the bottom of the pot with the feet fully extended. So if you add 2" of water the basket is submersed 1"...Hope that helps...

Answer:	While I simply rinsed it under water, the product worked great. My husband washed it in the dishwasher the other day and now the steamer insert is rusty. I’d say great product, just be sure to rinse under water immediately after using.

Question:	Do the metal feet come off
Answer:	Hi! Well, it really depends on what you want to put this in when you are cooking/steaming food. The smallest you can make it is 6 inches open and the largest wide open (looks like the photo) is 10 1/2 inches wide from one side to the other. It can fit in a 6 quart Instant Pot wonderfully! I use it in that all the time. I put the meat in the bottom of the Instant Pot and then put this steamer in and them put frozen veggies in that. And then set the time to 20 minutes, high pressure and boom...you have dinner! It also fits into pots on the stove and is a great steamer...it has little legs you can fold out on the bottom if you want to have it up off the bottom of the pan. This steamer just seems to "fit" whatever pan you need it to fit in. I recommend it. Best wishes.

Answer:	The feet are 1 7/8 inches from the base. When the feet are closed down they are 1/2 inch from the base keeping the base out of the water. The handle that screws in or out of the top also has a spring on it so that it will close down when a lid is put on the pot. I hope this helps. Question:	Will this work for the 3 qt instant pot
Answer:	No, this is not full stainless steel. The screw threads in the center that connect to the handle is not stainless steel. Mine has corroded on my and sent our dinner crashing to the floor, disconnecting from the handle, and sending food flying all over. Luckily it didn't fall on my kids/myself causing any burns...

Answer:	The pieces are not intended to come off. My items do not lose their "petals"although they are replacing a very old steamer that did start to fall apart

Answer:	Dude come on boss man, it's simple and easy to use... Literally open from the center circle, a little tension while pushing outside of it and viola!!! It opens up!!! Just like a flower it opens up center out... I usually don't use the center threaded piece because it takes up space while cooking certain vegetables so I will just use tongs to take them out after my vegetables or whatever I'm cooking or steaming is done... Not hard to use at all boss man, go to the store next time and see how they work before purchasing :) hope this helps

Answer:	We use it to steam vegetables in the microwave and it works great! We use frozen vegetables and we don’t add water. There is enough moisture in the vegetables already. We have never tried to boil water in it.
