Question:	Can you use it on a glass top stove
Answer:	Yes you can use it on a glasstop and any other heating element including induction. For glass tops, try not to move, or slide the Skillet around while cooking. It may scratch the surface, though it won't affect the heating element. And a note to Chris... Don't use a metal pad. Use a pinch or two of course Kosher Salt in the pan and scrub. The salt will release the sticky foods and clean the pan. Seasoning the pan regularly will build the anti-stick properties of the skillet. Over time it will become completely non-stick if properly cared for and seasoned. I use a number of Cast Iron pots and pans, and am a Home and Personal Chef. They are awesome cooking devices!

Answer:	All pre seasoned Skillets come that way, I researched on Google before I purchased and learned what to do so I wouldn't have to go thru the process taking months to get the pan seasoned properly. Use sandpaper on both sides until smooth, then oil and leave the oil in the pan until you use it, wipe and reoil for cooking. Please do some research, it's easy to find on google.. C. Diaz.....

Victoria was founded in 1939. We are a three-generation family business located in Medellín, Colombia. Question:	when you season a skillet do you rub oil on the outside also
Answer:	I don't own this particular cast iron skillet but as with any cast iron, you need to keep it seasoned. Since it has to be washed (no soap), I season my inside and out to prevent rust...doesn't hurt to do the outside and is no big deal. I recommend flax seed oil to season it with. It really does make a difference you will notice over time. Very little will stick to it.

Answer:	6 1/2 inches
Question:	Can it stand up to 500 degrees and what is the depth
Answer:	We cooked blackened salmon in it last night and it was directly over the open flame on a gas cook top. I don't know exactly what the temperature was, but an open flame is hotter than 500 degrees.
Question:	How are you supposed to clean this skillet
Answer:	This was the worst cast iron I've ever owned, and I sent it back for a refund. I could never clean it well, and I could not keep it from sticking!
Question:	Can this be used on glass flat stove
Answer:	Yes, but don't allow water to get underneath the cast iron item, because it will cause the cast iron item to shake and jiggle, and could possibly crack hot glass top. Otherwise, I use it all the time on my glass stove top, but careful about spillages or water from freshly washing in sink before cooking in it...also, I am very careful about shuffling it around from burner to burn, since they can scratch the glass top. Also, when picking up the cast iron item (especially when having food making it heavier), put the item back on glass top softly. I try to never use very high heat also..the cast iron will become hotter on it's own without the higher heat needed for other common skillets. I've used my cast iron for many years now, and have never had a problem as long as I follow the above procedures.

Answer:	It is made in China but that does not take away from the quality of this lid. I use it very often and have not been disappointed in my choice to purchase this lid. Some of the other reviews on Amazon are unfavorable but I have not experienced any "flaws". I do wash the lid by hand not in the dishwasher.
Question:	Curious what size pans the Large actually accommodates? I wrote to their customer service and was told it handles 9.5" to 12". Can someone confirm
Answer:	If your pan measures 12" OUTER diameter and 11 1/2 INNER diameter (which is most 12" pans) (although most pans are made overseas, so they might use the metric system {mm} it should fit perfectly. Mine does.

Answer:	Silicone and heat resistant. Same as the rim.
Question:	Will this work on a gas stove? Some of these do not work because they get too hot
Answer:	A gas burner and an electric burner heat to the same temperature. As long as the flames aren't leaping up outside of the perimeter of the pan, I see no reason why this lid wouldn't work on a pan sitting on a gas burner. (Small pan should not go on large burner, whether gas or electric, right?)

Question:	How high is the lip on the pan? Could I use it to fry something in a half inch of oil
Answer:	Lip is about one half inch and rounded. I would never use this pan with more than a coating of oil. Using more could cause a spill and fire.
Question:	I like to make small personal pizzas, will this work instead of the 14" pizza pan which is too big
Answer:	It is excellent for this purpose, but you should also consider the Lodge pizza griddle. I preheat to 500, insert my pizza on a pizza screen and then slide off onto the cast iron after 4-5 minutes. I lightly oil the screen but not the pan. The 14" griddle is a terrific pan for many purposes, and it retains higher heat even if you're only using a small part of the surface. Some people use it as a "pizza stone." I use both these pans very frequently.
Question:	Does this pan work on an induction stove
Answer:	It works.... but you've got to really watch it ... The cast Iron ware I use (1 vintage wagner bought at a yard sale, and 2 new lodge products) gets too hot and in turn heats the induction plate so high it turns off... I have a salton portable cook top from costco (similar to ASIN:B00FAD57SC Salton Induction Cooker Energy efficiency 300W-1800W, 140F-465F)
Question:	How about its performance on an electric stove for making indian rotis/chapattis/breads
Answer:	The Lodge skillet is EXCELLENT tool in making a variety of foods including rotis/chapatis/breads, grilling etc. Have been using it for the last 20 yrs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
