It's black with hundreds of multi-colored raindrops - vivid blue, yellow, green, orangy-red, and purple. It's held up well in the wind, which is what usually ruins my umbrellas.
Question:	Will a stainless insert fit....I don't want to use teflon

Answer:	It is the quality control on the manufacturer that measure the quality of the product, not the country of manufacturing. Buffalo does make a commercial series for just a few $ more that is made Germany design, made in Japan, and USA under ISO 9001 quality restrictions. This is in response to those paranoid of made in china.
