Durable Product
The second generation of All-Clad's Master Chef line (MC2), this cookware combines brushed aluminum with stainless-steel accents for a contemporary look. Like All-Clad's other renowned cookware collections, Master Chef provides serious and professional cooks with all the virtues that make All-Clad's worldwide reputation unsurpassed. Key to its high performance is a three-ply, bonded construction. Sandwiched between the exterior and an 18/10 stainless-steel interior is a thick aluminum core that spreads heat evenly across the bottom of the pan and all the way up its sides. The interior is highly polished so it's stick- as well as corrosion-resistant. Handles, rivets, and tight-fitting lids are all gleaming stainless steel.
This 8-quart stockpot illustrates the Master Chef line's stylish yet practical design. Though not classically tall and narrow, it simmers soups and stocks and accommodates enough ragù Bolognese to feed all the relatives. It's also ideal for braising on the stovetop or in the oven under its polished lid. Because the aluminum core extends up the sides, foods cook uniformly, even though the pot is 5-1/4 inches deep (11 inches in diameter). And because the interior is nonreactive, tomatoes and other acidic foods won't taste metallic. Its lid and stay-cool loop handles are riveted for strength and won't be harmed by an oven's highest heat. The stockpot's rolled edge facilitates dripless pouring. Master Chef cookware carries a lifetime warranty against defects and should be hand washed. --Fred Brack

Question: | Can this pot be used in place of a dutch oven? Can this pot be used in the oven as well as on a ceramic stovetop |
Answer: | All All-Clad pieces can be used in an oven. All-Clad says it could be used on a ceramic cooktop. It has a flat bottom. It could be used as a dutch oven. http://www.all-clad.com/Pages/Customer%20Service/faqs.aspx |
Question: | The price for this product is at least 50% below online proces. I'm worried it's a fake All-Clad product. How i verify if it's real |
Answer: | I don't know how to verify if it's real. I think this is an old model, which is why it's cheaper. I don't mind, still bought one. It is made with quality material. I have a cheap pot made with thin stainless steel, this one is thick, more durable. The outside is matte finish and mine got scratched easily. Still a good buy though. Good luck! |
Question: | Is this made in pa, usa |
Answer: | On the bottom of my pot it states "handcrafted in the United States". There is no reference to pa on the pot or lid at all. |
Question: | Does anyone put their MC2 pans in a dishwasher? How does it affect the aluminum exterior |
Answer: | I wouldn't recommend it. It changes its color with just one wash. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will it work on an induction cooktop |
Answer: | My 8 inch pan is exactly 8 3/8 inches across the very top of the pan outside edge to outside edge. This is where the lid would rest. I use the lid from one of my 3qt All-clad pot which the dimension on the lid where it sets inside the fry pan is 7 3/4. The fry pan has a little roll down on the stainless. I hope that is clear and helpful. |
Question: | Is the handle cool |
Answer: | is 41126 shinier than 4112 |
Question: | How wide and deep is this pan |
Answer: | The answer is two inches. My pan is a 12" skillet. You can fit a whole extra piece of chicken in a 12" pan that won't fit in a 10". Frankly, you need both, and I already had a 10" skillet. I would have bought the 14" but my stove probably isn't large enough. |
Question: | What is the diameter and height of this pan from base to edge of pan? not counting cover. Thanks a lot guys |
Answer: | I found this link that says 500 is the max, but it may develop a blue tinge which can be cleaned. http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/892615 |

Cooking And Caring For Your Lodge Enameled Cast Iron
1. Allow cookware to cool.
2. Although dishwasher safe, hand washing with warm soapy water and a nylon Scrub Brush is recommended to preserve the cookware’s original appearance. Citrus juices and citrus-based cleaners (including some dishwasher detergents) should not be used, as they can dull the exterior gloss.
3. If necessary, use nylon pads or scrapers to remove food residue; metal pads or utensils will scratch or chip porcelain.
4. Slight stains can be removed by rubbing with dampened cloth and Lodge Enamel Cleaner or other ceramic cleaner according to directions on bottle.
5. Dry cookware thoroughly before storing. Do not stack cookware.

Answer: | I don't know why you would put it in the dishwasher it cleans so easily with just a little soap ans water no scrubbing required |
