Answer:	No, it is part of the closure. In other words, when the strainer is closed, the part that holds the chain sticks out as shown. If I were you and needed a strainer for a narrow thermos, I would get a regular tea ball.

Answer:	I have this produce and the hinge wasn't stiff at all. I easily lay it open on the counter while I fill it with 1/4 cup of my favorite tea. 1/4 cup produces perfect 1/2 gallon of tea. I have been using it almost daily and it remains in good condition after at least 6 months. the small hook used to hang the strainer from the side of the pitcher has broken off, but I generally leave the strainer in the pitcher until I have consumed all the tea.

Answer:	I have had these for a couple of years now.Even if you install these so that the bottles line up with your shelf, when you use glass bottles without the tapered neck, they WILL slide down every time you shut the cabinet door, eventually getting in the way of the shelf. I solved this by purchasing some trim molding, cutting it to length, and then affixing (double-sided tape or glue) below each row of spice jars to act as a little shelf. The trim molding is not deep enough to hit the cabinet shelf, so you can align the molding right with the shelf. I stained mine to match the cabinets. I am certain that someone will be along to complain that this should not be necessary...when you do, just post your spice storage solution you think is as good as this one.

Answer:	They are flexible, and I did try a few other sizes, however, I really liked how the McCormack ones looked and fit perfectly. I keep my other sized spices in the cabinet. But by putting 12 spices on the cabinet door, it helps make room for the other spices in my cabinet.

Answer:	The lid has a peg and the jar has a peg hole. The lid is attached to the jar by inserting the lid's peg into the jar's hole. I pulled mine apart and allowed both to breath for a day before putting product into the jar. I also wiped out the inside of the jar with a damp paper towel before letting it air out.

Answer:	Depends on which product you order. You have to look closely. Both products have a picture of a "nut mild bag" but there is a product drop-down box below it. You can pick the cotton which is actually a cheese cloth, or the nylon which is the actual but milk bag. So the people saying they got cotton, got the cheese cloth even if the picture says nult milk bag. It's all a bit deceptive, and confusing.
