Answer:	Yes, you can make a tall coffee with this machine. You can manipulate the amount of beans per grind to make less strong coffee. You can leave your cup under the spout and program 2 cups, which will give you a talker cup of coffee.
Question:	What are the best brands of coffee beans to use with this machine? Some reviews say its fussy with oily beans
Answer:	We bought our first Gaggia Brera in 2014. It was perfect for 5 years. We had no issues with grinding, and after much daily use, the machine wore out, and we purchased a new one in 2019. YIKES! The amount of money that we have wasted on beans is insane. Unfortunately, the grinder will grind up a full shot of beans and then reject them, so each time this happens, money is dumped out. Much worse, to buy such an expensive machine and then be forced into only very particular brands of coffee is unfair to the consumer. We love a number of independent roasters, and this machine's grinder sensor will accept one bag of beans and reject the next of the exact same brand. We did some research and found that most Italian companies are using the same sensors on their grinders, so this is an issue in many fully-automatics. Gaggia, I beg of you to rectify this problem. You have an excellent machine, but this one issue ruins the whole thing. We are considering junking this machine after 10 months of use. Sending it for repairs doesn't solve the sensor issue, and the repairs (even under warranty) are extremely costly because of shipping.

Answer:	Yes, use the pre-grind and use bypass on machine to use the starbucks coffee.. Do not use starbucks beans in the coffee grinder..

Answer:	The espresso is hot but it takes a little bit to steam the milk, in the event you want a latte. Having said that, i have used mine almost daily since i purchased it. No problems so far and it paid for itself within the first week, in terms of what i would have paid at the cafe. I have gotten the best results with espresso roast ground one notch larger than espresso grind, although lavazza works perfectly right out of the can or bag. Hope it helps!

Answer:	Yes, the machine comes with a guide to making just about any espresso based drink you can think of. Very consistent quality!!! Very simple!!! All our friends have been amazed at their drinks prepared at home for a fraction of the cost of a coffee shop!
Question:	Does it tamp automatically
Answer:	Yes. Grind, tamp and extract all happen with the push of a button. Whole beans go in the top, little biscuits of compressed, spent grounds are emptied from the bottom. The espresso produced is VERY consistent in volume, strength and flavor - suggesting very consistent preparation by the machine.
Question:	How do you make the water hotter. My coffee is hot.but not real hot. If you add cream it then becomes warm.Is there a button
Answer:	I originally bought a Delonghi Espresso maker, and send it back for another model - the Perfecta, which works fine. (Sorry I don't remember the original model). However, it did not make the water hot enough. The brewer should work at 190 - 205 degrees F. If the coffee is lower in temperature it will not extract the flavor compounds, and it will be cool compared to your regular coffee. The Answer is - Send it back if the measured temperature in the cup is too low, e.g. below 185 F. There is no temperature adjustment.

The Gaggia Anima Prestige has the distinction of being the fully one-touch machine in Gaggia’s Anima series. Like the Anima and the Deluxe, the Prestige has programmable buttons, yet what sets it apart is the auto-frothing milk carafe.



INTEGRATED MILK CARAFE: Specialty milk drinks can be made at the push of a button with an integrated milk carafe and auto-cappuccino system. The double chambered carafe locks into the front of the machine to froth and dispense milk directly into your cup. When the milk carafe is removed, there is a hot water spout that can be attached in its place to dispense water for drinks like cafe Americanos and hot tea.



SLEEK DESIGN: The Anima Prestige features stainless steel front paneling for a modern style that incorporates classic Gaggia flare for a truly timeless design, has a slim profile (less than 9 inches wide), and a simple and intuitive programming menu.



PROGRAMMABLE: Each individual drink button on the Gaggia Anima Prestige can be programmed with your preferred beverage volume, strength, and temperature (Min/177.5 °F, Med/182.9 °F, Max/184.5 °F). For additional control over the brewing process, you can also program pre-infusion to gently moisturize the coffee grounds prior to brewing. LARGE CAPACITY: The Anima Prestige has a 60oz removable water reservoir and an 8.8oz bean hopper. The drip tray can hold up to 24oz of water and the internal dreg bin can hold up to 15 pucks of spent coffee.



EASY MAINTENANCE: The machine features a removable brew unit as well as an automatic rinse and descale cycle. The integrated milk carafe uses an automatic cleaning cycle to keep the milk circuit clean.

Answer:	Yes, the milk attachment shown in the photo is part of the system. I keep it in the refrigerator with milk in it, bringing to the Gaggia unit when I want a latte or other milk drink.

Question:	I noticed that the bottom tray collects a significant amount of diluted coffee/water liquid that is not from the pre/post rinse. is there a leak
Answer:	All of these types of machines will have a small amount of overflow water that leaks into the drip tray. If it’s excessive, there may be an issue, most of which can be fixed yourself. The drip tray should be emptied after each use as the liquid will accumulate and eventually spill over. It’s not exclusive to this machine, it’s all expresso machines designed like this, including other brands. I use to have a Lattisama that I thought was broken, but it turns out it was completely normal. Question:	I noticed a fair amount of steam in videos, especially as milk pours. For those that have a machine under cabinets, is this an issue
Answer:	The machine is really deep. So even when placed under the kitchen cabinets (moderately deep), the front panel of the machine tends to be further ahead of where the cabinets front portion ends. All the steam produced is right at the front panel (from the spout). Hence, it never really hits the cabinet. Our older drip coffee machine had more steam hitting the cabinets than this.
