Question:	Can you choose the amount you want to brew? Can it do a small amount, just one or two cups at a time
Answer:	There is no setting for number of cups to brew. You can, however, pour the amount of water you want to brew into the water intake compartment at the top of the coffee maker. For example, if you want to brew two cups of coffee, fill your coffee cup with water twice and pour it into water intake opening. The coffee maker will brew that amount of coffee.
Question:	do you need the pitcher for water or can you use the carafe
Answer:	I have the BT version of this coffee maker. It is the best coffee maker I have ever purchased! You can use the carafe, but I use a pitcher. If I know that the coffee will sit for a little bit, I rinse the pot with hot water to help keep the coffee hot in the carafe. My BT version makes fantastic coffee fast!

Answer:	Yes, it works with mugs. I use a very tall mug and it still fits with room under the spout. How much water you put in depends on how strong you want your coffee. I use what is a *normal* amount for me i.e., fill my tall mug almost to the top. I use this every day and have not been disappointed.

Answer:	We don't have little paper filters, but the filter for the grounds is very easy to clean. I just wash it with water and it becomes clean in few seconds.

Answer:	another way to get stronger coffee is by purchasing a darker roasted coffee. Many of the coffee packages will tell you how strong the coffee is. The more roasted the coffee bean the deeper/stronger the coffee will be. This coffee maker will only brew a maximum of 14 oz. per brew cycle but the coffee ground holder holds 3/4 cup of grounds. I would experiment with different types of roasted beans, amount of water used and amount of ground coffee used at one time to try to get the perfect cup of coffee for your taste.

Answer:	mine was a few years ago. It was the LAST USA coffee maker. Someone needs to call Bunn. Great people in Illinois, when I got a free new sprayhead. Try that with those other chinese call centers in India
Question:	I'm not comfortable with the reservoir being on at all times. If the reservoir is off, does it need to be filled and turned on before brewing a pot
Answer:	I'm buying this for one I had for many years that died. I only have coffee in the morning so I set a timer to heat the reservoir early enough to beat me up and have it shut off after you would have your last cup. A 5 hour window safely covers any possible time I have coffee. You can always plug in into a live socket on the occasion when you may have guests or want coffee at an unusual time. I just can't see heating water 24 hours a day. It has to be a good grounded timer that can handle the load of the coffee maker. A cheap timer made for a light isn't adequate or safe for a coffee maker. The timer I use is rated at 1875 W and the coffee maker's tank heater and stay warm heater is 900 W when both are activated. It is double the load of the coffee maker at maximum operating conditions. There are not expensive, probably $10-$12, do not skimp and chance burning your house down or worse.

Answer:	Actually, I pour the first 16 ounces through the infuser, over the grounds. I like to "bloom" the grounds first. I just hold the infuser in the pitcher, and pour the water with my other hand. Then I add the second 16 ounces, and add the infuser. The 32 ounces only fills the pitcher 3/4 full. It leaves enough room for water displacement when the infuser is added.

It started before (and I recall during the 50's some toys) but as the information below shows ONLY with regard to certain items. I lived in Japan in 1979 and long prior - after WWII their production even with regard to lower priced items had drastically changed. In Tokyo there is an entire section (with blazing neon signs) of electronic stores. I bought a Walkman (before it hit America) and it lasted almost 20 years. Even that has changed as Japan did not realize the "digital age". Now other countries such as S. Korea, S. Vietnam are producing products (note the tag on some of your clothing items - made in S. Vietnam. China even outsources to these countries. Long ago when I worked in NYC's garment industry (80's), at certain stages the product would be shipped to China and x done then it was shipped back to the company to be finished. Inexpensive labor. I check the label's now as I don't agree with the stance of the treatment of it's citizens in China. ------------Even before the war the Japanese had achieved competitive and even superior quality in certain areas. Answer:	No. The power switch is on the side of the device, and it isn't communique possible. It needs to be pressed each time it's powered off to activate it. Merely using a smart plug won't work well enough, as just giving power to the cord isn't enough to turn it on. It still needs the power switch activated to turn on.
Question:	Does it accept typical round pods
Answer:	yes, it uses standard K-cups that you can buy anywhere. But there's an added bonus; the reusable plastic coffee holder and mesh wire basket. I like fresh ground coffee without the coloring the add to the K-cups. So I grind my own coffee and fill the little wire mesh basket about 3/4 full (a little over 2 tablespoons of ground coffee) and brew a 10 oz cup. It is WONDERFUL and using your own ground coffee is less that half of the cost of buying K-cup pods.
Question:	Anyone else have this start making loud noises when brewing? If so, do you know how to fix it
Answer:	: just received this coffee maker 1/7/2020. YES, it is very loud when brewing, wakes my husband up. My previous machine, a Keurig K250, never made this loud of a noise, even after having it over 6 years. That being said, I do like the machine so far. Was easy to program/set up. I have contacted Cuisinart, after numerous suggestions from them to fix the problem, they are sending a replacement and I am returning this one at no expense to me.

Question:	Isn't it expensive to operate with water being kept heated at all times
Answer:	The Bunn manual says it uses a 34 watt heater to keep the tank warm. This will consume less than one kilowatt-hour per day. Depending on what you pay for electricity, it will likely be in the neighborhood of ten cents a day, or a penny a cup for one pot a day. As others have said, well worth it for the convenience! And if you consider keeping water hot a waste of energy, think about your hot water tank, which is probably 50 gallons or more compared to the 50 ounces in a Bunn pot.
Question:	Does this model have auto shut off
Answer:	No, it does not have an auto shut off for the warming plate. It is manual only. However, as it is a Bunn, the heating element never shuts off since it is always immersed in water. The only time you turn off the heating element is when you are going to be away for more than a few days. This why it is truly instant coffee. Hope this helps.

Answer:	They have 4 manufacturing facilities in the USA and 1 in Canada. But they have warehouses and offices in other countries. All I could see on it was "Assembled in America" so I'm sure the parts came from other countries.
