This happens when you soak coffee in the container for a long time and the bolt becomes stained by coffee. It can be cleaned by soaking in acidic liquids (vinegar, lemon juice, etc.) for a while. I usually use somewhere around 40oz of water and 1 cup of ground coffee to make it the proper strength. • Grind it coarse and add 1 rounded tablespoon of Coarse ground coffee per cup.Fine grinds will clog the filters.
