Question:	How often does this machine require a thorough cleaning
Answer:	If you only drink coffee clean the machine once a month. If you drink tea run clear water thru the machine after brewing the tea. If you make hot chocolate give the machine a though cleaning after making the chocolate, do not let the machine set without cleaning.
Question:	How tall is the coffee maker
Answer:	Closed, approximately 15 inches at the highest curved point. You will need an additional 3 inches to open the top to insert the cup. I have to scoot mine out from under the cabinet to put the pod in but it fits under just fine until then.
Question:	Can you use "pods" not made by Keurig
Answer:	You can use any brand "K" cups in this coffee maker including the filter cups to use your own grounds. But you cannot use the large "pods". This is just an old fashion Keurig coffee maker that works great.
Question:	does it come with
Answer:	The K-55 Does not come with a filter attachment. My wife purchase the filter attachment (Black) with reminder dial...not compatible. Supposedly the filter attachment for the K-55 is the clear plastic one that goes into the cold water reservoir and snaps to the bottom outlet. Goin to order it now. Yeah we made that mistake.

Answer:	I've not found any for the VertuoLine machines ... only earlier models... perhaps in time.

Answer:	This Breville Vertuo Coffee and Espresso Machine is bundled with an Aeroccino3 milk frother, for the option of making coffee recipes such as cappuccinos and lattes.
Question:	can you brew with K-cups
Answer:	Absolutely not! You can only brew with Nespresso's Vertuo cups. They are completely different and twice the cost of a K-cup. This is really excellent coffee and a luxury product.
Question:	I saw this item has a P65 cancer and reproductive harm warning. Can I get more information on this
Answer:	I used to be a barista and there is also reproductive harm warning for espresso machines due to the milk residue left on the tools used to froth the milk. We were trained to clean it very well after each use. I can’t remember why but I was trained that the milk froth left over was potentially hazardous, to pregnant women especially, so may be worth looking into the hazards regarding the frothed milk.

DEEP CLEANING FOR COFFEE BREWER

1.Observe four holes of coffee outlet, whether there is any obstruction.

2.Use a paper clip or toothpick to dredge top lid needle on four outlet and water outlet.

3.After dredging,use food grade funnel to fill water into reservoir,add 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup vinegar, press button to clean.

4.After brewing,please add water with vinegar in reservoir for one hour.

5.After one hour,please pour out water.

6.Brew again with fresh water afterwards until no vinegar smell remains.

CLEANING AND MAINTAINCE

1.Please brew water to clean for first use,it can be more effective to extract essence from coffee.

2.Fill reservoir with 4：1 for water and citric acid,press power button to clean machine.

Answer:	I took the drip pan out and measured. A 4.5 cup will fit under it without the drip pan but not with the pan in place.

Answer:	I have the original 10 oz. capacity version of the coffeemaker, not the updated version with the larger water tank currently shown in the photo. My small-footprint 10 oz. capacity coffeemaker has been working great for the 2 months I've owned it, coffee comes out piping hot and is also plenty hot after adding a dash of refrigerated coffee creamer. Very pleased with the unit, hopefully it will remain reliable and trouble-free.

Answer:	It's PROBABLY about 4" wide, 11" deep, and ~12" high w/ lid open. PROBLEM: After I wrote review, switch failed after 3 days of use.

Answer:	Definitely YES! I don't use K Cups ever. I like to use my own coffee. This Mixpresso really is great. Small, good looking, easy to use and the coffee comes out really hot and delicious. To me, better tasting coffee than the former Keurig. Turns off as soon as the coffee is brewed. It's not fancy with a lot of options etc, and that''s exactly why I got it. I need another coffee pot too and while there are less expensive ones out there, and even Mixpreso has a single cup w/ coffee mug included, this one works so well that I'll stick with this. Question:	How much water do i put in for a mug of coffee? does it work with mugs
Answer:	Yes, it works with mugs. I use a very tall mug and it still fits with room under the spout. How much water you put in depends on how strong you want your coffee. I use what is a *normal* amount for me i.e., fill my tall mug almost to the top. I use this every day and have not been disappointed.
Question:	Is it easy to clean the filter for the grounds, or do the grounds stick in the mesh? Are there little paper filters that are designed to line it
Answer:	We don't have little paper filters, but the filter for the grounds is very easy to clean. I just wash it with water and it becomes clean in few seconds.
Question:	Can someone please tell me can you make strong coffee with this coffee maker? I purchase a coffee maker that I couldn't taste the coffee at all
Answer:	another way to get stronger coffee is by purchasing a darker roasted coffee. Many of the coffee packages will tell you how strong the coffee is. The more roasted the coffee bean the deeper/stronger the coffee will be. This coffee maker will only brew a maximum of 14 oz. per brew cycle but the coffee ground holder holds 3/4 cup of grounds. I would experiment with different types of roasted beans, amount of water used and amount of ground coffee used at one time to try to get the perfect cup of coffee for your taste.

Answer:	Keurig k-cups are too expensive. I use Folgers or Maxwell House or Wal-Mart pods. They work fine, especially Wal-Mart Pods (Medium-Dark) which only cost 25 cents each if you buy a carton of 100.

The brewer will heat, then automatically begin brewing. Clock allows you to set an Auto On time. Unit only takes 45 seconds or less to heat up, and I brew one cup only, so I never use Auto On (timer). If this unit is on and warm, it takes about 60 seconds to brew a cup of coffee. Having this brew the coffee before you are up and ready to drink it is a waste of time because it might be cool before you get there. There is no pot and no warmer like in a drip coffee maker. It does not need one. Press to start, butter your toast, drink your HOT coffee. The big timesaver is the huge reservoir that allows you to make eight or more cups of coffee without having to refill it. The K elite will change the way you think about making coffee in the morning. Question:	Not touchscreen? Why the step back
Answer:	It's really not needed. I own a K575, which has a touch screen, and I think that this is much simpler. Plus no touchscreen to dirty up with fingerprints. This machine is simpler, and I believe that's one of its selling points. Should one really need to be choose a wallpaper for the screen of their coffee maker too? On the other hand, if you want to be able to tell the time by looking at your coffee maker, something you can easily do with several of the Keurig 2.0 machines, though the K-Elite has a digital time display, it can only be viewed by looking down on the machine from above. So if that's important to you this machine might not be a good choice.
Question:	Will the k-elite machine accept non-branded (not marked keurig) k-cups, and make coffee using these generic non-branded k-cups
Answer:	Yes! This new Keurig machine is not a "2.0" Keurig. It does not have any DRM to prevent you from using whatever k-cup you desire. This machine is very reminiscent of the older Breville BKC700XL machine, except it provides separate button for each cup size plus it has options for "iced coffee", strong brew, and high-altitude brew.
Question:	What are the differences between K-Elite vs K
Answer:	I own both of he machines you're asking about. Differences are: The K575 is a "Keurig 2.0" machine, so it uses an optical detector to prevent you from using non-licensed k-cups. The K575 has a larger reservoir. The K575 has the ability to us the Keurig carafe, as well as the larger pods (which sounds like an advantage, but good luck finding those larger k-cup pods anywhere except the web). The K575 has a color digital display. The K-Elite has a high-altitude brew setting, is a much simpler machine, and seems to be built rock-solid. Of the two machines, I much prefer the K-Elite. It is smaller and a little more quiet than the K575. Plus without the DRM stuff it's simpler internally. In my opinion it is probably the best Keurig machine for home use built to date. And if you shop around you may be able to buy this unit for as low as $125, much less than I've ever seen the K575.

Question:	Can you just brew water
Answer:	Sure can. Just pretend you put a pod in and use product as usual.. The hot water comes through as usual.
Question:	what size Paper filter
Answer:	It does not use filter paper. It has a reusable "permanent" filter and that is my biggest issue with this machine. The permanent filter allows some fine grounds to pass through and the filter would likely overflow if you added filter paper to it to eliminate this problem. This is true even though I set my coffee mill to a coarser setting, thinking that would eliminate the problem. It helped just a bit. I wish they had included a filter holder, but you could cut out the mesh of the permanent filter and make your own (cut to size) filter paper. I have not tried this yet but may later. Right now I just am careful to not drink the coffee to the bottom of the cup as the sediment is rather nasty. The only other alternative would be to filter the coffee before drinking which seems to make the point of a large cup coffee maker inconvenient rather than 'just right'.
Question:	Can you add milk instead of water in the tank for richer coffee
Answer:	Rather than using milk in the brewer, and risk ruining your coffeemaker, if you like a richer taste, buy a small carton of real whipping cream and add to your coffee after brewing instead. Coffee with real 100% cream versus milk or half and half is truly a gourmet experience, and is zero carbs, so it's keto-friendly as well. A little bit of 100% whipping cream goes a long way in your cup of coffee, so you can adjust the amount as desired. That would be my suggestion to try. :)

Answer:	All plastics in contact with water are BPA free and the net of the coffee filter basket is 304 stainless steel.
