Answer:	The grinder only operates on 110v. However I think plugging in to a 220v outlet is not a bad idea that way you can get your misery over right away. Don't buy this piece of junk. I never dropped it, whacked it with anything, or knocked it on anything but the palm of my hand to get spices out of it yet the cup on mine began to crack after less than a year of light use and after less than three years it just literally fell apart. I now own an Epica and love it.
Question:	What is the wattage of this grinder
Answer:	115 watts, 120V~60Hz 125W. I had a Hamilton Beach grinder for more than 10 years and it still works well, and got a 2nd one because I use it only to grind herbs and spices. So now that my other one that I use only for coffee broke from another maker broke, I am buying a 2nd Hamilton Beach grinder. It's not worth to spend more more if it works. The other one works well but I do not like using the same one for herbs and spices plus coffee. I like the front button, not on top, because it is better for my hand with arthritis.

Answer:	Grab the bottom of the unit and pull down. The grey piece will slide down about an inch and allow you to UNROLL the cord from the holder. When the cord is unwrapped, push the grey piece back up - note that the cut out on the grey piece should allow the cord to dangle free. It's a simple procedure to reverse the process to re-wrap the cord when you are done.

Answer:	When speaking of a coffee grinder, it means heavy duty enough to get the job done and not wear out the motor. The last one i got lasted me 25 years and it was finally getting tired. For small seeds and spices, even hard ones, to any kind of nut, it does the job well. Almost too well if grinding nuts. Better to get the larger pieces out and grind just them than keep trying in the same batch, you can wind up with almost a dry nut butter.

Answer:	The literature says "Made in PRC" (Peoples Republic of China) and the label cast into the unit on the bottom says "Made in China."
Question:	How can you control the grind coarseness of the grind? This looks like a standard blade grinder with a motor
Answer:	If you're very serious about this question, do NOT buy this grinder. That said, I personally like it but have a few tricks to improve performance. It's very tough to accurately control the coarseness with this type of grinder. If you are looking for a med-fine for making drip coffee it's all about amount of time you hold down the button, and does a decent job. Course grounds for french press are very, very difficult, due to the way the grinder works. When I make french press, I tap the button for 1 second, 18 times, picking the grinder up and shaking after each button press. I use a kitchen sifter to let the extra fine coffee fall thru (use that for wife's cold brew) and use the course grounds for my french press. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I grind flax seed with this grinder. It turns flax seed in to a fine pulp I use for my smoothies. I use two tablespoons of flax seeds in this grinder at a time, pulse it a few times and then run it continuously for about 10 or so seconds and the flax seeds are nicely ground.

Answer:	Grind 1 T. of dry, white rice and 1 T. baking soda together for a full minute. Empty it out, then wipe out the chamber with a damp (NOT WET) paper towel. (If any water gets past the blades and into the motor, it will seize and never run again.) Rice will clean the blades and the baking soda will help get rid of strong spice odors.

Answer:	It's plugged in. No batteries required.

Answer:	yes, it will certainly grind coffee but you will never get the coffee taste out of it. Your other spices will have a coffee taste.
Question:	How do you remove the removable bowl? Mine twists counterclockwise, seems to release, then no way to get bowl off
Answer:	If you have not used it yet, the bowl should be very easy to get off. If you haven't used it and it doesn't come off easily, it's probably defective. Using it to chop and crush different items will cause it to be a little resistant. The items inside can get under the cup during the crushing motion. I chop and crush pills and the powder gets down there and I have to twist pretty hard to get it off. When I work with nuts and seeds, they can cause it to be sticky and hard to get off. Anyway, don't worry about breaking it because I don't think the pieces that lock together will break. You can apply pressure (also push down on the cup while turning) and it should do the counterclockwise click and maybe a little extra pressure to giggle and pull the cup off.
Question:	What are the advantages of sg10c over the sg10? which one performs better
Answer:	I contacted Cuisinart customer service to ask this question. They told me that the SG10C is the Canadian model.

All you receive is the "operating and safety instructions" and that's it. Question:	Can I grind dried lentils and almonds
Answer:	This Q&A section applies to both the Krups F203 Blade grinder and the Krups GX5000 Burr grinder. (Not sure why Amazon insists on grouping reviews and questions for disimular items.) If you are asking about the F203 blade grinder, then no, it is not recommended for pump espresso machines. A burr grinder (the GX5000) should give you a more consistent fine grind with less powder.
Question:	Are there separate bowls available for purchase? I would like to buy an extra 2 blade bowl. bowl
Answer:	The bottom of the bowl where the blade is, is metal for about 1/2" to 3/4" in the deepest part in the center. Above that it is white plastic and the smoky colored plastic cap fits down into this area while grinding. My new grinder has no chipping, and my old Krups grinder, (same design, purchased and used since the mid '80's!) has only one tiny bit of chipping on the very edge of the plastic cap. But it was used daily grinding coffee beans. My old grinder has held up over those 30 years better than I have. LOL! The cap on my old grinder did not cloud up over time.

Answer:	You can try wiggling the top/lid back and forth as you hold down on the holes; that sometimes helps. Another thing you can try is setting the bowl down on a counter/table and pulling the lid up while firmly holding the holes/bowl down (so that the counter helps provide some additional resistance as you pull the top off). It often takes me several tries before I can get the bowl separated as well--that's my only complaint about the grinder!

Answer:	Hi Amanda, Well I've had more time with my KA grinder since I wrote that review. I'm still pleased with the way it operates but have come to realize that grinding times need to be longer than the directions call for. I, too favor a fine grind so have been holding the grinding to a count of twenty (one one thousand, two one thousand, etc.). Sometimes it helps to pause at ten and shake the grinder lightly to ensure a thorough grinding with no left over whole beans. Enjoy!

Answer:	Read the book that came with the grinder. It tells the exact amount. I grind 3-4 heaping tablespoons of coffee beans at a time for a 12-cup percolator coffee maker and it does a great job. It is so efficient and so easy to use. I like that the grind cup comes off to empty the ground coffee. I highly recommend this product. FYI, I am a 77 year old Granny and am very particular about my household products. I want them to work as stated and I need ease of use. This one rates high in all categories. I have recommended it to several people. I stand by my word too.
