Answer:	the box is made out of pine. the top and bottom is a veneer and is 1/16" thick. the sides of the box is 3/8" thick. i have found that the boxes from thiscompany are very sturdy as I have made several cigar box guitars and thump boxes out of them. these boxes also stain and finish very well and have very nice grain in most.hope this helps.

Answer:	I think this machine would work very nicely with the Rancilio Silvia. It produces a very fine grind all the way up to a very corse grind. So not only would it be great for your espresso it will also grind for drip coffee and press coffee as well.

Answer:	Yes, the grinder is able to get you down to that fine espresso range. It will accommodate all pressurized brewing systems. It will also accommodate most non-pressurized brewing systems as well. Hope this answered your questions. Thanks.
Question:	I'm having trouble grinding anything finer than around a 7 - if I put it on a 4-6 (for espresso), the beans just pop around - what am I doing wrong
Answer:	Absolutely! I use it the same way, 30 grams at a time, I do not leave beans in the hopper, and you shouldn't if you want fresh beans. But, you have the option to leave them in, you'd just use the timer to have it stop at 30 grams. You'd have to play with it to get the timing right for stopping at 30 grams. It's much easier just to poor only what you need and grind it as you need it, not to mention keeping it fresh. Although the hopper does seal air tight and it's somewhat dark to keep light out, your better off storing them in an air tight container that doesn't let light in at all.I also like a coarser grind so I bumped the burr up one notch and use the highest setting, something I couldn't do on the other brand. It has a wide range of settings from fine to coarse. You will not be disappointed. Great source of information.Tip1: As mentioned in an earlier post, I put a cup under it to catch the grinds then dump them in my filter. You could slide the tray out and grind directly into the filter. Note: You'll notice some static at first, grinds floating up onto the control surface and sticking but this dissipated over time. Or it did once I started using a glass cup.Tip2: I push the grind button on and off for a second to clear out old grinds, dump the little bit that comes out (old grinds), then grind my 30 grams. This way you don't have the old that was still in the burr dumped in with your fresh grinds. This was a tip from a Seattle Coffee Gear video, another great youtube channel.Tip3: you only need a brush to clean it out from time to time, do NOT use rice like some people suggest on youtube. It's very easy to clean. Remove the hopper and top burr, brush debris loose, tip it upside down over your trashcan and tap the side, done!

Answer:	Hi Amanda, Well I've had more time with my KA grinder since I wrote that review. I'm still pleased with the way it operates but have come to realize that grinding times need to be longer than the directions call for. I, too favor a fine grind so have been holding the grinding to a count of twenty (one one thousand, two one thousand, etc.). Sometimes it helps to pause at ten and shake the grinder lightly to ensure a thorough grinding with no left over whole beans. Enjoy!

Answer:	Read the book that came with the grinder. It tells the exact amount. I grind 3-4 heaping tablespoons of coffee beans at a time for a 12-cup percolator coffee maker and it does a great job. It is so efficient and so easy to use. I like that the grind cup comes off to empty the ground coffee. I highly recommend this product. FYI, I am a 77 year old Granny and am very particular about my household products. I want them to work as stated and I need ease of use. This one rates high in all categories. I have recommended it to several people. I stand by my word too.

Answer:	Uturn, I just received this coffee grinder a few days ago and have all of the paperwork. There is absolutely nothing stated about the warranty. All you receive is the "operating and safety instructions" and that's it. Wish I could be more helpful for you but, I must add, that I find it very unusual that there is nothing stated about the warranty.Pamela

Answer:	The label says 120V AC, 60 Hz and 150 Watts. My power is 115V AC and it works fine.
Question:	Replacement blade
Answer:	I ordered 2 of these and it didn't have a replacement blade included, however, I use 1 for coffee and 1 for nuts and to date have not needed to replace and it's been continual use for nearly a year now.
Question:	If I want to grind for a french press , how long I have grind it to be perfect for French press
Answer:	If you pulse it on & off it will force the whole beans up the sides & be pulled down in the middle, its what you need to do for course grind to be used with a french press, its this way with every electric coffee grinder.

Question:	How do you get 12 cups from this? I filled to the steel edge per their warning and only yielded 7 cups of grounds
Answer:	The bits can all be used in a hand drill. The larger ones are more stable in a press than by hand. The bits came in clean, well marked and in a separate plastic case. Well worth the money I spent on them. The metric bits are a welcomed addition to my shop.
