Answer:	When speaking of a coffee grinder, it means heavy duty enough to get the job done and not wear out the motor. The last one i got lasted me 25 years and it was finally getting tired. For small seeds and spices, even hard ones, to any kind of nut, it does the job well. Almost too well if grinding nuts. Better to get the larger pieces out and grind just them than keep trying in the same batch, you can wind up with almost a dry nut butter.

Answer:	The literature says "Made in PRC" (Peoples Republic of China) and the label cast into the unit on the bottom says "Made in China."
Question:	How can you control the grind coarseness of the grind? This looks like a standard blade grinder with a motor
Answer:	If you're very serious about this question, do NOT buy this grinder. That said, I personally like it but have a few tricks to improve performance. It's very tough to accurately control the coarseness with this type of grinder. If you are looking for a med-fine for making drip coffee it's all about amount of time you hold down the button, and does a decent job. Course grounds for french press are very, very difficult, due to the way the grinder works. When I make french press, I tap the button for 1 second, 18 times, picking the grinder up and shaking after each button press. I use a kitchen sifter to let the extra fine coffee fall thru (use that for wife's cold brew) and use the course grounds for my french press. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I tried using the wet grinder with the two blades for fresh herbs like basil etc and it did need a few tablespoons water to get it mixing properly. It works fine and is sealed within but once you take the cover off don't put it back on and continue mixing. That's the only time I had leakage because removing the lid causes the splashed liquid on the top inside to drip down so when the lid is placed on again it continues to drip down the sides

Question:	Hi. Supports 220v/110v? Or only 110v
Answer:	The grinder only operates on 110v. However I think plugging in to a 220v outlet is not a bad idea that way you can get your misery over right away. Don't buy this piece of junk. I never dropped it, whacked it with anything, or knocked it on anything but the palm of my hand to get spices out of it yet the cup on mine began to crack after less than a year of light use and after less than three years it just literally fell apart. I now own an Epica and love it.
Question:	What is the wattage of this grinder
Answer:	115 watts, 120V~60Hz 125W. I had a Hamilton Beach grinder for more than 10 years and it still works well, and got a 2nd one because I use it only to grind herbs and spices. So now that my other one that I use only for coffee broke from another maker broke, I am buying a 2nd Hamilton Beach grinder. It's not worth to spend more more if it works. The other one works well but I do not like using the same one for herbs and spices plus coffee. I like the front button, not on top, because it is better for my hand with arthritis.

Answer:	Grab the bottom of the unit and pull down. The grey piece will slide down about an inch and allow you to UNROLL the cord from the holder. When the cord is unwrapped, push the grey piece back up - note that the cut out on the grey piece should allow the cord to dangle free. It's a simple procedure to reverse the process to re-wrap the cord when you are done.

Question:	How long should you grind for a espresso (fine) grind? At the min 4 cup line
Answer:	Amazon sells things made all over the world as do all other off and online retailers. Tell your congressman to introduce legislation to have American companies that make things overseas pay a stiff tariff or penalty for doing so to help keep jobs in America. If the Congressman or Senator is a conservative, don't waste your time...they are in on it or want to be in on it. Free market economy and all that rubbish...laissez-faire or Free-market anarchism...NAFTA, FTAA and CAFTA seals the deal, we are out of jobs.
Question:	is the inside of the grinder metal or plastic
Answer:	Not the unit I bought - mine is 110V, 60 HZ (US version). Since Krups is a German manufacturer, I feel fairly sure that it would be available in a 220V, 50HZ version.
Question:	how much coffee will it grind at one time? (i.e. what's the maximum capacity
Answer:	This grinder has one speed and has no settings for coarse or fine etc. You control how fine something is ground by varying the grind time... or by pulsing the button manually. It's a good sturdy grinder and would likely grind up any spices that you might want to put in it though.
Question:	Will this grinder grind flax seed
Answer:	The inner cup and blades are not removable for cleaning. I use a soft brush. It's great for cleaning grinds out of your grinder.

Answer:	This Bistro Blade Grinder comes with a 2-year warranty. If your blades have broken within 2 years of purchase, please reach out to [email protected] and they will happy to provide a replacement grinder. We do not sell the blade separately at this time.

Answer:	Nope. It’s a manual cord that actually curls up nicely if you do it correct.
Question:	how much coffee will it hold
Answer:	The box is that size, so it will be a wee bit smaller. But yes, pretty tall.
Question:	Where’s made
Answer:	It should be pretty coarse. You want your coffee grounds to be roughly 1 to 1.5 mm in size. Remember to use 2 tbsp of coffee for every cup of water and brew for 4 minutes. If you want your coffee stronger or weaker use more or less coffee. If you're still unsure how much to grind your coffee go to Starbucks and ask them to grind your coffee for a French press.

Question:	Is it compatible with 220 volt
Answer:	Hi Amanda, Well I've had more time with my KA grinder since I wrote that review. I'm still pleased with the way it operates but have come to realize that grinding times need to be longer than the directions call for. I, too favor a fine grind so have been holding the grinding to a count of twenty (one one thousand, two one thousand, etc.). Sometimes it helps to pause at ten and shake the grinder lightly to ensure a thorough grinding with no left over whole beans. Enjoy!

Answer:	mostly metal, but there is some plastic parts but few. but the barrel and blades are metal...
Question:	Is the grinding bowl removable
Answer:	Read the book that came with the grinder. It tells the exact amount. I grind 3-4 heaping tablespoons of coffee beans at a time for a 12-cup percolator coffee maker and it does a great job. It is so efficient and so easy to use. I like that the grind cup comes off to empty the ground coffee. I highly recommend this product. FYI, I am a 77 year old Granny and am very particular about my household products. I want them to work as stated and I need ease of use. This one rates high in all categories. I have recommended it to several people. I stand by my word too.

Answer:	I have alternated grinding coffee and flax seed over the years. Because flax seed makes a sticky slimy gel when wet, I wipe the grinder bowl out with a complete!y dry paper towel.
