Anyway, the rep was very helpful and said the tumbler had to be returned so she set that up for me and also ordered me a replacement. Hopefully, the straw is included with the replacement.

Answer:	NO!!!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT!! This can only be used with ceramic, metal, or other heat proof cups. There is a warning on the slip in the box that states this. It has 3 heat settings and even on the coolest (lukewarm at best), I wouldn't place a plastic cup of any kind on it. This is one of the best coffee warmers I've ever owned. I can even keep my soup hot on it on the highest setting.
