Answer:	The flaps are not hinged. They are extruded plastic to create the fold, and have a catch on each one to lock down the lid. The lid also has a seal so that it makes the container airtight.

Answer:	The containers are air tight. I have not tried chips but the other goods I have tried in these worked great.

Answer:	I don't have arthritis, but I do find that these are very to use. The little handles are very easy to lift, they don't have to be forced up or down. Once the little handle is up, the lids lift off fairly easily. I think they would work great for dog treats!

Answer:	I put the flour in it, I had used half of them, its got little bit cloudy on the container, but not really messy looking at all !!

Question:	Can this really be put in the dishwasher and not rust
Answer:	I called Augason Farms to ask this exact question. Per the lady on the phone, the oats that they use in their buckets and #10 cans are the same. However, only the #10 cans are labeled gluten-free because they are the only ones processed/packaged to meet the GF requirements. The oats in the bucket are packaged on different equipment and could have some cross-contamination.
Question:	How do you wash the sift under the blade? I saw things stuck in there and could not get them out
Answer:	The lot date is May 19, 2020 and the Best By date is May 19, 2050! Hope this helps. 🙂
