They probably both use lasers inside of them to make the optical trackball work--just my guess. I like the m575 much more and don't use it's bluetooth functionality. The big question is how durable is the m575, since the m570s lasted nearly forever before failing. I'm not sure the m575 is as well-made. Time will tell.

Answer:	I have had no issues with my new one. I have been using all day for work iver the last 3 weeks or so. My older trackball would occasionally feel like it had resistance when rolling the ball. I took it apart, removed dust from inside the trackball housing, and wiped off the trackball before reassembling. It worked great after.

For stainless steel tubes, it is not recommended to adjust the flame size to the smallest size that is too close to the tube and can burn for a long time. This is the safety consideration is to prevent the flame from being too close to heat the tube to red.
