Answer:	I didn't need any additional wiring when I replaced mine. It was just swapping the old part for the new one.

I bought one of these switches for my car and it is working just fine but the problem was NOT the switch, it was the wiring, it shorted out at the plug that goes into the switch causing me to loose one of my bright lights.
