Answer:	No, I tried yesterday, it's too soft. .. It was easier to cut into little cubes with a knife, but the salad shooter worked well on all my other cheeses, from mozzarella, coby jack, Monterey jack, and sharp cheddar... it saves so much time.

Answer:	The knife is 13" overall with an 8" blade and the width of slicer's cutting area is 6" so yes, it is long enough to reach from side to side. A couple of things I'd like to share: When I first got the slicer, owing to my lack of experience I tried to use a 'long' stroke, sort of like sawing a 2 x 4. That did not end well and I've learned to use short, light strokes resulting in much better results. Also, in the beginning I tended to press down with the knife with the result that I mashed the bread to the consistency of modeling clay. Hence, that reference above to 'light' strokes . In the event your loaf is narrower than the cutting surface you may want to gently and carefully hold the loaf against one side while you're slicing. That will prevent the loaf from sliding side to side and should make the task a lot easier. I realize my reply may be a case of being asked the time and explaining how to make a watch but in any event, I hope it helps. Enjoy!

Answer:	This choppers real main drawback is the proximity of the blades. Large pieces or hard veggies like broccoli will get caught between the blades. The blades are more than sharp enough to chop hard veggies and nuts, but they get clogged often. When I purchased this, I was looking for a chopper similar to what you would see used at Subway, however, I have yet to find a consumer chopper that works as advertised.

Answer:	I hear you. I've got a Kitchenaid I'm looking to replace that has a bowl insert, it's easier to grind spices than the full bowl.

Answer:	I don't get it. We love this food processor but can't stand to wash it. Would not put it in the dishwasher. Everything gets stuck in the top and in the mechanism for the top. And it's clear plastic so you can see all the food caught in there, but there is no way to get it out. We can't figure out how it gets in there in the first place. We use the machine as directed. We wash it immediately after use every single time. I try to use the spray at the sink to get the debris out, doesn't help. Tried soaking it. Tried just at least spraying vinegar inside it to prevent bacteria from building up. We have only had it 5 years and have wanted to replace the bowl and top and Cuisinart is out of stock. And I saw them on sale on Amazon for $45. for just the bowl. And the food processor has gone up in price by $50. since we bought it in 2015. So, I am now actively looking for a replacement for this machine, even though it's still working fine. I can't deal with the clean up any more. Or with what I consider a health hazard having all that debris in there fermenting.

Answer:	Hi, We use this for chopped salad at home all the time, and use a cheap plastic bowl. It will end up leaving small cuts inside the bowl, but it is better for the blades than using on a hard surfaced bowl, as that will blunt the blades.

Answer:	The handle is very comfortable. The blades are sharp. Just have to make sure you have the correct size bowl or plate for it to work properly.
