More expensive but worth it - another hint/suggestion - after each use I self clean the iron pores from accumulated calcium build up. Found that over the years my Rowentas have lated longer due to careful cleaning.

If you really want the best ironing experience, combine a Rowenta 9280 and a HOMZ Durabilt ironing board. Makes you look forward to ironing. World of difference-top notch iron and board combined.

Answer:	It's about 3 cup or 26 ounces, the steam iron it's amazing best investment ever. I can iron two or three shirts with full tank. It's a steam iron and due to the 400 holes it uses a lot if water.

Answer:	I had the 5080. It worked well for a long time, but finally stopped producing steam. I next bought the 8080, used it for almost 6 years, and it still works. I treated myself to a new iron with the 9280. It is an excellent iron, the steam output is electronically controlled by the fabric selection you choose, thereby taking the guesswork out of manually controlling the amount of steam you use. The LED indicator for type of fabric is a nice feature, so you don’t have to check on the setting on the dial/switch. If you can afford it, and want to make ironing an easier task get the 9280. It is a real nice piece of equipment.

Therefore, it goes through a tank of water after I iron just two or three shirts. I am happy to refill the chamber as needed, since this powerful iron will take the wrinkles out of any fabric.

Answer:	DG8520 has safety clip for nose of iron (plus indented heel area to securely hold iron nose to heel - iron stays securely in place since its gripped by both sides) - keeps unit snug together with less chance of falling while transporting (previous iron could flip off during transport as you have to physically hold onto both top iron and bottom generator/station unit). DG8520 also has on/off switch (for previous models without built in on/off switch - its possible to plug into power strip with on/off switch) which previous models do not... along with larger water tank. Both can be filled with water without unit having to be cooled down. Just refill and keep on pressing! ;)I've owned several of the last 3 models (for my sewing business - these Rowenta iron steam stations can be your best friend - saves time for repetitive motions)... and like the DG8520 the best. The built in on/off switch and longer time between refilling have spoiled me... plus it's neat that I can carry unit without fear of iron being bumped off while in transport.

Answer:	I steamed a Queen size bedspread laying it on the bed & May of had tiny bit of leakage but 99% leak free so I would say it works .

I looked at the manual & this is what it says.... 1) For your safety, the steambrush is fitted with a standby monitoring system, which is activated automatically after approximately 8 minutes without use. 2) Only the ‘On-Off ’button flashes slowly to indicate that the appliance is on standby 3)To reactivate the steambrush : a. Press the ‘ On-Off ’ button and wait that the button light stops flashing b. You can start steaming again.
