Answer:	No, it does not it goes from lowest to max with the turn of a dial. All though when reading the manual it does refer to the lowest position as the off position but in reality it does not click to an off point. So you do have to unplug the iron. Then again I would do that with any iron.

Answer:	It could be used as a hot knife on something thin like the thin sheets of plastic to make stencils. I don't think it has enough heat to go through anything thicker.

Answer:	This is from the information sheet with my mini iron. Low setting is approx. 220 degree F. Mid setting is approx. 390 degree F. High setting is approx. 560 degree F. It takes about 10 minutes for the iron to reach the max temperature. I strongly advise you to purchase separately the Clover cooling stand made of heat-resistant material to control the iron. The stand that comes with the iron is not steady and accidents happen. I found out a bad burn heals very slowly. That caution given, I am pleased with the iron. I do hand applique quilts and it presses the crisp edges and sharp points very well on cotton quilting fabric. Lois B.

Answer:	It is used as a small iron, not sure if it will work for plastic that is normally shrink wrapped. The directions on the iron state that the temperature is for poyester and cotton. Low setting is 140 degress and the high setting is 220.

Answer:	I use it for machine applique with my embroidery machine. the machine does a placement stitch, then I put on my applique which has a fusible on it and iron it on while leaving it all in the hoop. This little iron works great for this. I also used it for applying iron-on bias tape to an applique project. It worked great for that too.

For other supports such as coffee mugs, there is no a clear answer to the question on if the HTV can be applied successfully or not. The results reached by the crafters that tried it vary from failure to full success. The only way to figure it out is to try it yourself.I hope this answer satisfy you. Question:	should the shaft move
Answer:	Mine wiggles too. The shaft is only held on by a couple of flimsy spot welds so anything more than very light pressure on the tip will crack the welds and make the shaft loose.

Question:	i need something like this to transfer patterns to wood. I don't know if it gets hot enough though. does anyone know
Answer:	I can confirm that it does work for doing image transfers to wood. I use tshirt transfer paper that I print out on my inkjet. I set the mini iron II on the highest setting and the large tip(also available on Amazon). I burnish the transfer completely with the mini iron and allow it to cool completely before peeling away the backing on the transfer paper. If you don't wait until it has cooled it will stick and ruin the transfer. It does slightly burn the wood. I tried it on the medium setting at first but I don't think that was hot enough or maybe I peeled off the backing too soon.

Answer:	Yes I have used it and find it very handy with the doll cloths. Lugging out the huge iron for small projects was a pain now I just plug it in turn it on and it is small enough to stay close by. I think you will like this product.

Answer:	As noted: the same size as an Eggo Waffle...about 4". This makes a GREAT waffle....and is also a little thicker than an Eggo (frozen) waffle.

Answer:	I've found NO listing of a small Teflon free mini waffle maker. This Dash mini waffle maker almost assuredly DOES contain Teflon. The pure facts are that most waffle makers that come from China contain Teflon. Manufacturers of larger waffle makers that are PFOA and PTFE free will almost always loudly proclaim that fact in their feature list. Bottom line --- if simply "non-stick" is listed, it's a safe bet that it contains Teflon.

Answer:	Hi, please be advised, if you have to keep the mini iron on the silicon pad then you need to ensure to keep it on the resting side when you are using the iron, however it is not recommended to keep the iron on the third dot for long time as this will will heat up higher and may cause some burning impression on the solemate. We suggest you to keep the iron one dot or turn off the steam selector when not in use, since this heats up really quick you do not have to keep in the highest settings for long time.
