My board is small so I pull the cover to fit tight and use thumb tacks to hold it in place. It seems naturally burn resistant with common sense use.

Question:	The iron rest has small rubber-like piece on the inner area, exactly where the iron plate will rest. Will they melt onto the iron plate
Answer:	I have set my hot iron on the iron rest several times without causing the rubber piece to melt however, I've only left it there while adjusting the item I am ironing, so less than 30 seconds. I would not leave the hot iron on the iron rest for extended periods.

Answer:	The board doesn't lock when you close it. So hanging it is an issue. Would have been an easy fix but they missed it.

Question:	Can you put a hot iron on the safety iron rest while hot
Answer:	No, it is not. When the wood gets hot it starts to bend. Mine broke in half after a couple of uses. I don't recommend this item at all.

Question:	Would this wobble onl ow pile carpet ? Is the pad thick
Answer:	I use it on uneven linoleum (floor slopes to drain) in our utility room and it seems fairly stable - I think it would be stable on low pile carpet. The padding is fairly thick - but, I bought an additional silicon coated cover and use it with both pads.
Question:	My mom can only iron sitting down. Can you please tell me what height is this ironing board at its lowest setting
Answer:	This will work for your mom ! Gets near the floor at about six inches!
