My board is small so I pull the cover to fit tight and use thumb tacks to hold it in place. It seems naturally burn resistant with common sense use.

Answer:	Not a chance and I hope that 240 lb load is not a human. I'm sure the load rating is based on even distribution across the top of the bracket. You're talking about putting 100% of the load on the end of the bracket which puts much more stress on all of the structural members - it's like holding a heavy object close to your chest vs your arm being fully extended. I'd be shocked if it could support the load in the manner you're describing.

Answer:	It's really just a dispenser. You can put ice in the middle part to cool the water or juice, but it's not big enough to make it cold.
